ASK Matthew 7:7-12  Devotional:- “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (V.11) NKJV For us to be able to enjoy the love of God as believers, we must begin to ask God for our needs. It is the principle of God that you will only have what you ask (Matthew 7:7). If you don’t speak out to ask, you may not be given. This was the problem of the senior brother of the prodigal son (Luke 15:29-32). Everything is for Him, but he had never asked for any. But the younger brother knew how to ask You must also learn how to ask. This is because you will only enjoy what you asked for. We therefore need to learn how to ask. The word ‘ask’ is not the same as beg or loan. The word asks suggests confidence and courage. It means to demand for what you are due for. It means to ask for your rights and your entitlements in God (Galatians 3:13-14). The bible is a book of covenant ...

MEN'S FACTOR

MEN'S FACTOR

2 Peter 1: 5-11
Devotional:-“But also, for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge” (v.5) NKJV

Though God through the Holy spirit is the one that strengthens us to grow, yet we have part to play. We must be careful of thinking it is God that will do all things for us. It is true that God has a part to play in our growth, but we also have a part (Psalm 127:1-5).

The scripture said we must be diligence to add up knowledge in God. We are to seek knowledge. We are to diligently labour and disallow anything from disturbing our quiet time. It is the Holy spirit that releases the urge and grace but we are to diligently follow His ways. Until we diligently play our part, we may not see growth.

God's word instructs us to add to our faith, godly character. This means, we are to cooperate with the Holy spirit to yield to His instruction for our change to godly character. We must build up spiritual understanding through knowledge of God (Psalm 119:130). This will demand that we are ready to take responsibility to seek and to have the light of the word of God as we daily meditate in the word of God (Joshua 1:28). And we shall be growing. Peace.

Prayer: Lord, I need your grace to be available for you at the appointed time.

"WHEN YOU PLAY YOUR PART, GOD WILL PLAY HIS"
