THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. WITH GOD AND MEN

WITH GOD AND MEN

Scripture: Luke 2: 41-52
Devotional:-“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men” (v.52) NKJV

Growth helps us to have effective relationship with God and men. Quality relationship is the evidence of maturity. When people can’t manage their relationship either with family, friends or staff, it is because they have not been able to develop maturity in factors of relationship. So, God expect us to grow in relationship.

We read about the testimonies of Jesus in our scripture today of how He was having favor with God and men. The favor He had with God and man was a product of His quality relationship with them. That is why each of us must also grow in our relationship.

To grow in relationship with God, is to create time to consistently be with Him, communicating with God in praises and worship, studying His word and asking in prayers. In this, we enjoy grace to obey Him and please Him for our favor (Joshua 1:8). To grow in relationship with people, we must humble ourselves to relate (Proverbs 18:24). We must understand different nature of people. We must learn to endure and tolerate with people. This is when we can grow maturely in relationship. By this, we will be able to walk in favor. Peace.

Prayer: Lord, teach me to relate well in life.
