FLOATING AXE

Image
FLOATING AXE Devotional:- 2 Kings 6:1-7 “So the man of God said, "Where did it fall?" And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float’’ (V.6) NKJV  Sometimes when we read about some great wonders of God in the Bible, something makes us feel it was because the people were very special. But we need to know that they are men of like passion (James 5:17-18). They were just exactly like we are, but they were only men of faith. This makes God to work wonders through them. The sons of the prophet needed a big place of dwelling. So they decide to cut trees to make a new home. Thank God they requested that Elisha should go with them. As they were cutting the trees, the axe head fell into the deep river. And the man of God asked the Holy Spirit for what to do. The Holy Spirit was what they also depended upon, and there was a miracle. Friend, you also have the Holy Spirit. That stick is the word of God. Speak to the sinking situatio...

MAKE YOUR CONCLUSION

Image
MAKE YOUR CONCLUSION Joshua24:8-16 Devotional:- “But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve” ( V. 15 ) NIV      One of the goals of the enemy in the end time is to turn people away from God. If you read through the word of God, you will discover that there is much calamity to befall the sons of men. This is part of the agenda of God to punish iniquity. Please know therefore that the affliction is just starting. But God had made provision for your own security. He said it is only with your eye you will see it ( Psalm 91:7-8 ).

KNOWING HIS WISDOM

Image
KNOWING HIS WISDOM James3:12-18 Devotional:- “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.” ( v. 17 ) NKJV      Everyone in the world today has come to know the viability of wisdom. Everyone now knows that it takes wisdom to succeed. Some years past, people used to think it is just hard work. Later, it was realized that the people who are really making it are not necessarily struggling. All men today seek to have knowledge of wisdom, yet there is much confusion. This is because what people call wisdom are not of God, so they cannot stand the test of time. They are mostly carnal wisdom.

KNOWING HIS WAYS

Image
KNOWING HIS WAYS Isaiah 55:1-11 Devotional:- “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are my ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.” ( V. 9 ) NKJV      One of the things we need to know in God is His ways. If we don’t know His ways, we may not be able to follow Him. When you see anyone demonstrating the power of God, it is because His ways have been made known to him/her. God’s word says He made his ways known to Moses and His act to the children of Israel.

KNOWING HIS WILL

Image
KNOWING HIS WILL 1 John5:11-15 Devotional:- “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” ( V.14 ) NIV      No one can enjoy God to the full except he/she knows how to please God. Pleasing God qualifies you to earn His favour and goodness. God’s word says when a man’s way pleases the Lord, even his enemies will not border about him because God will make them not to think of him for evil ( Proverbs 16:7 ).

KNOWING HIM

Image
KNOWING HIM Daniel 11:30-37 Devotional:- “With flattery he will corrupt those who have violated the covenant, but the people who know their God will firmly resist him.” ( v.32 ) NIV      When a anyone doesn’t have good understanding of God, such will be very easy for the devil to deceive. That is why some easily backslide and follow the way of the devil. Knowledge they say is power. When you have good and deep knowledge of God, you will encounter the strength and the power of God to resist the devil. The major challenge faced by the church today is that of many people following God and do not know Him.

EAGLE BELIEVERS

Image
EAGLE BELIEVERS Isaiah40:27-31 Devotional:- “But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their Strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” ( V. 31 ) NKJV      So many things made the bird eagle peculiar. One of those features is that he rises up by the strong wind that chases other birds to hide. What brings troubles to others is what brings blessings to the eagles. When others are seeing failure, he sees lifting. This should be your attitude in this challenging time ( Job22:29 ). In the scriptures we read today, God’s word likens believers to be bird eagle. He said, they shall mount up wings like eagles.

SOWING

Image
SOWING  I King3:1-14 Devotional:- “Now the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there, for that was the great high place: Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings on that altar.” ( v.4 ) NKJV      Giving in obedience to God remains a major means of demonstrating true love for God. The truth is that if we truly love Him, to give what He has given us for the work of His kingdom will not be difficult for us. All through the scripture, God always test people’s love by asking them to give.

UNITY

Image
UNITY Genesis11:1-6 Devotional:- And the LORD said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them” ( v.6 ) NKJV      A trick of the devil the church must come up to overcome today is the spirit of division and self-centeredness. The body of Jesus has to come up with the understanding that the diversity of the gift and ability of the Holy Spirit is not for division but for unity, edification and to build a strong body of Christ that will be stronger than all devices of the devil.

JOY

Image
JOY  Isaiah12:1-6 Devotional:- “Therefore with joy you will draw water From the wells of salvation” (V. 3)  NKJV           It is important that you know that one of the virtue for our strength in life is joy ( Nehemiah 8:10 ). Please choose to live in joy for the rest of your life. This is because you are created for joyful living. If you don’t consciously make this choice, you have also made a wrong choice. The nature of man is fashioned to only have his best in joy. The enemy having known this always wants to people to be in sorrow. The only sets of people that will enjoy great strength to the end are the joyful one.

FELLOWSHIP

Image
FELLOWSHIP Hebrew12:22-29 Devotional:- “But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, to the city of the living God. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly…” ( V.22 ) NIV      Fellowship with God and with the body of Christ is one of the most  beautiful things man should enjoy. God has planted so many blessings and benefits in relationship. One of the best way to connect with these blessings is by fellowshipping with children of God. The reason is that fellowship is the richest source of strength ( Psalm 84:7 ).

ESTABLISHED IN FAITH

Image
ESTABLISHED IN FAITH Colossians2:1-10 Devotional:- “Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.” ( V. 7 ) KJV      If anyone will overcome in the challenging season of life, he/she must be established in faith. The enemy knows that the life wire that keeps God flowing to you is faith. That is why God’s word says the just shall live by faith ( Romans 1:17 ). It is faith that brings God’s promises to manifestation in your life. It is by faith you draw the heavenly promises to be evident in your life on earth.

MEDITATION

Image
MEDITATION Psalm 1:1-6 Devotional:- “But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.” ( v.2 ) NIV      God’s word describes someone blessed because he/she meditates on the word of God, day and night. How can this be? The word of God is the source of inspiration that strengthen us to perform (John 1:1-3 ). The Bible told us that God is a spirit, therefore meditating on the word of God is drawing on the strength of the spirit (John 6:63).

GRATITUDE

Image
GRATITUDE Habakkuk 3:8-19 Devotional:- “Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” ( V. 18 )            One of the great weapons to help you to retain your strength in God is gratitude. This is because ingratitude reduces the strength of man. That is why it is often said that gratitude is the mother of altitude. Gratitude strengthens you with peace sufficient enough for progress. It makes God approves you for your next level in life.

HOPE DEFERRED

Image
HOPE DEFERRED Proverbs 13:12-16 Devotional:- “Hope deferred makes the heart  sick,  but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life”  (v. 12) NKJV      When we want to set for goals for ourselves, it will be wonderful when you set time with your goals. But when it comes to an expectation in our life, when we set goals by faith, we should never waver. We term a hope delayed when we have expectation schedule for a time and it does not seem coming at the time we have set for it.

DISTANCING FROM THE SCRIPTURES

Image
DISTANCING FROM THE SCRIPTURES Deuteronomy 8:1-11 Devotional:- “To teach you that man does not feed  on  bread alone but on every word that   comes  from  the mouth of the LORD” (v.3) NIV      The word of God is the bank of our strength in God. The word of God is the strength of God. Through the word, God had done all He had done. God’s word says, without Him, nothing else was created ( John 1:1-3 ). When a man therefore distances himself from the Word of God, He will lack the strength of God.

WITHOUT HIM

Image
WITHOUT HIM John 15:1-8 Devotional:- "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing” (V. 5) NKJV      God made man to be independent. He made us as a being that is capable of carrying out our destiny on earth. We are made like God. Yet, it is important that we know that true independence is to know what you want and choose to connect to where you can get it. There is no independence that is not depending on a source. You are made to be influenced by a spirit, depending on your choice. It could now be of God or of the devil (Job 32:8).

BE STRONG

Image
BE STRONG Ephesians 6:10-18 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the Power of His might.” (v.10) NKJV           When you see a man with a strong body behaving like a chicken, something is really wrong. We all know that it is humiliating to hear that a seven-year-old girl defeats a man of thirty years in battle. This should be a function of ignorance i.e., not knowing how to deal with such embarrassing situation.

YOU HAVE TO FIGHT

Image
YOU HAVE TO FIGHT Deuteronomy 20:1-4 “When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the LORD your God is with you, who brought you up from the land of Egypt” (V. 4) NKJV      God’s children must come to realize that our victory has been purchased by God but we have to fight to establish it in our life. If you have to face the devil, it will be impossible to defeat him. He was in a greater glory before than you are now. He has been in battle game before the creation of man (Revelation 12:7-8). He knows far more than we do. If we have to face him, there will be no victory; The saints in the Old Testament couldn’t withstand him. That is why Jesus came in form of man to defeat him for us (John 16:33). So, Christ has purchased for us victory and glory in God. Yet you must fight to claim your victory personally.

YOUR OPPONENTS

Image
YOUR OPPONENTS I Peter 5:5-11 Devotional:- “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” (v. 8). NKJV      When a man does not know his opponent, he will totally be ignorant of the way of victory. Most people always make mistakes taking man as their enemy. As God’s children, it’s important we come to understand that the forces against us are the forces of the devil, though they always use man.

STRENGTH IN GOD

Image
STRENGTH IN GOD II Corinthians 10:1-6 Devotional:- “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds” (V4) NKJV      Many Christians today have so much confusion about their strength in God. It has made the church to think there are few limited people that can demonstrate the strength of God. So, multitudes are weak in strength. Though they come to church yet in time of challenges, you see them rushing to another Christian whom they know to be stronger in God. Neglecting the fact that a New Testament believer is a potential priest and king for Christ (Revelation 5:10; Mark 16:17).
