FLOATING AXE Devotional:- 2 Kings 6:1-7 “So the man of God said, "Where did it fall?" And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float’’ (V.6) NKJV  Sometimes when we read about some great wonders of God in the Bible, something makes us feel it was because the people were very special. But we need to know that they are men of like passion (James 5:17-18). They were just exactly like we are, but they were only men of faith. This makes God to work wonders through them. The sons of the prophet needed a big place of dwelling. So they decide to cut trees to make a new home. Thank God they requested that Elisha should go with them. As they were cutting the trees, the axe head fell into the deep river. And the man of God asked the Holy Spirit for what to do. THE SECRET PLACE Psalm 91:1-16 Devotional:-“No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling” (v. 10)      A major tragedy in the world today is that of sicknesses. This is actually a part of the prophecy for the end time. The word of God reveals to us that perilous time shall come (2 Timothy 3:1). We all can testify to it that the perilous time has come. As much there is an agenda of difficult time for the world, but there is better plan of God for His own people (Jeremiah 29:11). RESIST THE DEVIL 1 Peter 5:5-11 Devotional verse: “Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world” (v. 9).      A major responsibility you have towards the devil is to resist him. You have nothing to do together with him than to cast him out. Whenever you sense his activities, the Bible didn’t tell you to fear him or beg or appease him but resist him (James 4:7).

BE STRONG Ephesians 6:10-20 Devotional verse: “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might” (v. 10)       The nature of the kingdom of God demands that every citizen should be strong. Those who takes their place in this kingdom takes it by force (Matthew 11:12).             This is because the kingdom has unrepented and un-relented enemy call the devil (1 Peter 5:8). That is why you cannot afford to be weak as a Christian. We must wake up and be strong in our faith in the word of God (Ephesians 6:16).

COMMUNION TABLE John 6:50-59 Devotional verse: “Then Jesus said unto them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His blood, you have no life in you” (v. 53)     It is important that believers come to know that the communion table is for our healing. The word of God says, the life of every flesh is in their blood. (Lev. 17:11). So, the communion is taking the life of Christ by faith in the word of God.

THE BLOOD Exodus 12:21-28 Devotional verse: “For the LORD will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the LORD will pass over the door and not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you” (v. 23)      God has given us the blood of Jesus as part of our instrument of healing and deliverance. The blood is the house of the spirit and life of Christ (Leviticus 17:11). It is only when you have the blood of Jesus that the life of Christ is in you (John 6:53-54).

LAYING OF HANDS Mark 16:14-18 Devotional verse:-“They will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover” (v. 18)      God in His mysterious way of working out His miracle has placed power in the hand of believer for the healing of people. Sometimes your faith needs that a hand is laid on you by a spirit filled believer. When you feel you need the support of the faith of others for your healing, humble yourself and covet such release in the Holy Spirit.      When the word of God says signs shall follow those who believe, they will cast out demons, lay hand on the sick and they shall be healed, why? These hands are the hand that carries the life of God. Remember the bible says the life of a being is in his blood. THE ANOINTING James 5:13-18 Devotional verse: “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord” (v. 14)      In the word of God is the anointing for our healing. The anointing oil is one of the emblems of our faith; it represents the power of the spirit. God’s word says, when someone is sick, let him be anointed with oil and prayer of faith will heal the sick. The oil is an emblem of the Holy Spirit.

BEWARE OF SCIENCE 1Timothy 6:11-21 Devotional verse: “O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings, and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge” (v. 20)    God is the author of all forms of wisdom, including Science. Science is using our natural discovery of nature to solve human problem. God told Adam, have dominion over all things and subdue them (Genesis 1:28). In other word, use them for your advantage. Because of this grace given to man, many have thought that there is no need for God any more. Thinking all solution can come from nature through science.

Even, when you listen to someone speaking or you are reading, the one you will remember most are the words you see. That is, the words you turn to pictures. FAITH Act 3:11-21 Devotional verse: “And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know: Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all” (V. 16).      A man of faith operates in the power of God. Faith is the act of stepping out to confront your situation according to the revelation of the word of God. Faith is not just an assertion of your acceptance of the word, it is far more than that. Without faith it will be impossible for anyone to resist the devil (1 Peter 5:9).      In the scripture we read today, Peter said, faith in the name of Jesus has healed the lame man (Act 3:16). Faith becomes active in a man when the spirit of the word of God has come into him. (John 10:34-35). The Spirit of the word of God makes of a quick understanding (Isaiah 11:3). REDEMPTION Luke 1:67-75 Devotional Verse:-“Blessed is the Lord God of Israel; for He has visited and redeemed His people.” (V. 68).    The word redemption means a purchase from the slave market. This is because by sin, every man is under the slavery of the devil. (Romans 6:16), Jesus came to pay the price of our redemption by His blood when He died on the cross of Calvary. This price is to purchase us from slavery of the devil unto God. (Revelation 5:9-10, Colossians 1:13).

THE WORK OF THE CROSS Isaiah 53:1-12 Devotional Verse: “But he was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and by His stripes we are healed” (V. 5).      It’s important you understand that this world is built to follow the law of the spirit. (Isaiah 46:10). Whatever is written in the word of God is the law of the spirit and life (John 6:63, Romans 8:2). The devil is always a deceiver and a liar (John 8:44). Though it was the curse that was put on Adam and Eve that brought the spirit of sickness, the devil has been doing so much to persist by inflicting people with the punishment of that curse even when God forgives (Genesis 3:15-16).

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
