RELEASING OTHERS

RELEASING OTHERS Matthew 18:21-35   Devotional:- "So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses” (V. 35) NKJV Men can easily shout, “Away with him, kill him,” to others because they are not the offender. Very many parents will bitterly discipline their children for an offence they too have committed in the past, for which they were not killed. It is always easy to be a judge, though most judges cannot stand the face of trial. That is why the word of God instructs us not to judge others (Matthew 7:1-6). The scripture we read today reveals the wickedness of men. A man who owed his master so much, just like we all owe God so much. He was forgiven by his master, but cannot forgive his fellow servant. He rather locked him up in police custody for torment. His master heard and also reversed his decision on him for judgement.  Friend, who are the people you have refused to forgive? No matter what they...

REPLACING LIES

REPLACING LIES

John 8:37-47
Devotional:-“You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it” (v.44) NKJV

One of the characteristics of maturity is our ability to replace lies with the truth. Growth is gaining strength to overcome the forces contending with us. These forces often present lies to us as truth and in the course of this lock us into fear and intimidation of doubt. It is in this mess that man is weakened and defeated.
To grow above this intimidation of the devil, we must grow in learning the truth of the word of God. So, when he tells us the lies that we are going to die or fall, we should remind him of what the word of God says. I shall not die but live to declare the praise of God. (Psalm 118:17) God will uphold me with His right hand of righteousness and will not let me fall (Isaiah 41:10) It is our ability to stand firm in the truth in our heart that show us strong.

That is why you must study to load the word of God into your heart. (Colossians 3:16) You must build your heart firm in faith of the word of God. It is the revelation of the word of God that builds faith in us. It is faith that makes us victorious over contending forces (1 John 5:4). Arise and locate the scripture for your freedom. The devil is a liar, don’t let his lies destroy your health, home, businesses and fuure . Resist him with the truth and he will flee from you (1 Peter 5:8-9). Peace.

Prayer: Lord, make me strong by the truth of your word.

"IT IS THE TRUTH THAT STRENGTHENS TO OVERCOME LIES"
