THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. BEEN BETTER

BEEN BETTER

Daniel 1: 8-21
Devotional:-“And in all matters of wisdom and understanding about which the king examined them, he found them ten timesbetter than all the magicians and astrologers who were in all his realm” (v.20) NKJV

To be better than others in life is a function of growth. It is growing better that makes a life better. We have placed so much importance on learning academically but we must be careful not to miss out in applying the knowledge for our growth. As a child of God, you need to always apply the word of God to your life to grow up and be better.

Daniel and his three Hebrew friends became better because they gave themselves to learning the wisdom of God by relating with God (Daniel 1:3-4). The rest of the royal seed there were only eating and drinking. That will only make the body look good. It takes growth to live in the will, the way, wisdom of the Lord to be better and stand out in this wicked world.

Friend, stop following God religiously. Christianity is not a religion, but a way of life. It is the life of Christ. Until you start to live by the word of God, you may not be better or preferred in this world. This is because the word makes us stand out as light to the darkness of the world (Matthew 5: 14-16). For our life to be better, we need to live by the word of God and we shall be a star in the world. Peace.

Prayer: Lord, give me the grace to build up and be preferred in life

"IF YOUR LIFE WILL BE BETTER, THEN RELATE MORE WITH GOD"
