ASK Matthew 7:7-12  Devotional:- “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (V.11) NKJV For us to be able to enjoy the love of God as believers, we must begin to ask God for our needs. It is the principle of God that you will only have what you ask (Matthew 7:7). If you don’t speak out to ask, you may not be given. This was the problem of the senior brother of the prodigal son (Luke 15:29-32). Everything is for Him, but he had never asked for any. But the younger brother knew how to ask You must also learn how to ask. This is because you will only enjoy what you asked for. We therefore need to learn how to ask. The word ‘ask’ is not the same as beg or loan. The word asks suggests confidence and courage. It means to demand for what you are due for. It means to ask for your rights and your entitlements in God (Galatians 3:13-14). The bible is a book of covenant ...

CHRIST LIKE HABITS

CHRIST LIKE HABITS

Colossians 3: 1-11
Devotional:-“and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him” (v.10) NKJV

One of the blessings God has created with us is the ability to form habits. This makes our future predictable, there are success habits and there are failure habits. When a man begins to form Christ-like habit, then he is growing to be a strong Christian.  Habits of Christ helps us to live like Jesus. It is the same with all other areas of our life. That is why it is said, your habit determines your destiny.

Habits are the routine exercise we undertake daily. We form habit when we undertake a particular practice repeatedly for 21 days. After which it becomes almost like a reflect actions for us. We can only be Christ like when we form the habit of Jesus into our character. You can now see the importance of habits to our Christian journey.

To form Christian habit, we must spend time daily to study and meditate on the character of Jesus (Joshua 1: 8). We must spend regular time in prayers daily (Matthew 14: 23). This is praying the life of Christ into your life. You need the habit of being submissive to your leaders (Hebrews 13: 17). You need the habit of taking faith (Ephesians 6: 16), you need the habit of speaking the truth of the word always (Ephesians 4: 15), you need the habit of forgiving others (Matthew 6: 14-15), habit of giving, fasting and prompt obedience to God. Peace.

Prayer: Lord, give me grace to build Christ like habit.
