FLOATING AXE

Image
FLOATING AXE Devotional:- 2 Kings 6:1-7 “So the man of God said, "Where did it fall?" And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float’’ (V.6) NKJV  Sometimes when we read about some great wonders of God in the Bible, something makes us feel it was because the people were very special. But we need to know that they are men of like passion (James 5:17-18). They were just exactly like we are, but they were only men of faith. This makes God to work wonders through them. The sons of the prophet needed a big place of dwelling. So they decide to cut trees to make a new home. Thank God they requested that Elisha should go with them. As they were cutting the trees, the axe head fell into the deep river. And the man of God asked the Holy Spirit for what to do. The Holy Spirit was what they also depended upon, and there was a miracle. Friend, you also have the Holy Spirit. That stick is the word of God. Speak to the sinking situatio...

MEEKNESS

Image
MEEKNESS   Read: Numbers 12:1-9  Devotional:- “Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth” (V.3) KJV      The most vital aspect of faith is for you to yield to God’s instructions. God wants us to obey Him by faith. This is a level of honour to God. If Moses did not obey God he would not have seen all the miracles he saw in Egypt and in the wilderness. If the priests will not obey to step into Jordan by faith, the water would not have parted for them (Joshua 3:13). If Peter will not obey Jesus to launch his net into the deep he would not have seen the miracle of many fishes (Luke 5:4-7). If the disciple will not obey Jesus to fetch water as commanded, they would not have seen the miracle wine (John 2:5-8). If anyone will not obey God’s instruction, he may not see the glory of God (John 1:40).

YOUR COMPANY

Image
YOUR COMPANY  Read: 2 Kings 6:8–23  Devotional:- “So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them” (V.16).             If you do not have a right company around you and in your mind the devil will help you compose one. All of us have to be spiritually conscious that some spiritual forces are always around us (Exodus 33:14, Psalms 91:11).  This we know by our feelings because we are also spiritual beings. It is only the body we live in that has limited us to be able to have physical view of them. But then you need to know that you are the one that determines the forces that stands around you.

EXERCISING IN THE SPIRIT

Image
EXERCISING IN THE SPIRIT Read: Jude 1:17–22 Devotional:- “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit” (V.20).      For you to be built up in faith you must be filled with the Holy Spirit and must regularly exercise in it. That is because it the exercise in the spirit that inspire, anoint and build faith in you for achievement of God’s will for your life (Jude 20, Act 4:31). It will be dangerous for anyone to remain dry in the Spirit, it could lead to a total defeat in life. That is why God’s word asks us to build up ourselves in the spirit.

HOLY SPIRIT

Image
HOLY SPIRIT Read: John 16:5-15  Devotional:- “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come (V.13)      It should be settled in your heart that you are a spirit being. You are not just an ordinary flesh like mere animal. You are more than a mere biological being. Please know that one spirit or the other influences all human being. There are two major spirits that controls the human life; the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of God) or the un-holy spirit (The spirit of the enemy). No one is free from either of this spirit. No neutral ground and no vacuum. All of us have either of them.

OBEDIENCE

Image
OBEDIENCE Read: Luke 5:1-10  Devotional:- “But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net” (V.5)       If we shall see the great power of God in our life, if we shall become a point of reference to the mighty works of God, if we shall become God’s vessel to turn the world around, then we must embrace obedience to God’s instruction. Often time when God speaks to us, our mind queries His instruction. They don’t look reasonable but they are powerful.

WHAT IS THE TRUTH

Image
WHAT IS THE TRUTH   Read: John 8:31-36 Devotional:- “And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free” (V.32)      All that man need to be free from all bondages of life is the encounter with the truth. The truth is a mystery and the secret of the power of God. All these are hidden in the in the word of God (Proverbs 25:2). Having the knowledge of the truth is like knowing the working power of God. The truth is that no one handles power and will not attempt to use it. When something is yet to work for you in God, don’t ever think God is a failure. It is only that you do not have the truth about the matter yet (Hosea 4:6).

STATE OF HEART

Image
STATE OF HEART Read: Mark 11:20–26  Devotional:- “So Jesus answered and said to them, “have faith in God” (V.22).      Even though God is so powerful and mighty many of us have limited the manifestation of His power in our life all the while. This is due to the state of our mind. The state of your heart of is what determines the state of your faith.

GOD’S PRESENCE

Image
GOD’S PRESENCE Read: Psalms 23:1-6  Devotional:- “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me” (V.4)      One of the weapons of faith that all God’s children must carry in their mind is the presence of God. God promised us that He will be with us in whatever situation we may be (Isaiah 43:1-5, Matthew 28:19). But this will have no effect if left in our Bible and not established in our spirit. You need to let it be settled in your heart that God is with you and this will produce great power in your heart.

REGULAR MEAL

Image
REGULAR MEAL Read: Luke 4:1-4  Devotional:- “But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God” (V.4)       Physically, what a you regularly feed on will always determine your fitness. So it is in all areas of our life. Most of us have not come to the awareness of the fact that what we feed our spirit with will always determine our strength or weakness. That is why God’s word warned us to be careful of what we listen to (Mark 4:24).

GOD’S REVELATION

Image
GOD’S REVELATION Read: 1 Samuel 17:23–32  Devotional:- “Then David spoke to the men who stood by him, saying, “What shall be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?” (V.26)        Everyone at the face of battle needs what will arouse our mind to strength. The weapon of God that produces our faith is the revelation in the word of God. When God’s word is revealed to our heart, it creates tremendous power. It breeds faith in us and makes us to operate in the supernatural strength of God for our victory.

KNOWLEDGE OF GOD

Image
KNOWLEDGE OF GOD Read: Daniel 11:31–35  Devotional:- “Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.” (V.32)       In this world of temptation and tribulation, those who know Him still wonderfully demonstrate God’s power. The time we are into is a strange time. Many people, families, businesses or ministries are been defeated; yet in this same time some children of God are doing great things. The difference is their knowledge of God and not luck.

WORD POWER

Image
WORD POWER Read: Luke 1:26–38  Devotional:- “For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment (V.37) AMPL      Most people have not come to know how powerful the word of God is. People tend to see the Bible as a book of stories or events. They had never experience the power of God through His word. They lack the understanding that the word has been God’s instrument for creation. They do not know that Jesus Christ is the word Himself (John 1:1-14).

LABOUR OF FAITH.

Image
LABOUR OF FAITH. Read: Hebrews 4:1-12  Devotional:- “Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief” (V.11)       Most believers have not come to the understanding of the need to labour in the word of God. Everybody wants the exploit of the strength of the word of God in their lives but they are not ready to labour for it. Laboring in the word of God is simply studying to know the truth of the word of God.

GETTING FAITH

Image
GETTING FAITH  Read: Romans 10:13-17  Devotional:- “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (V.17)      It is of great importance that we know that faith is not just confessions. It is not just believing but it is rather a weapon in God to be taken like a shield for battle (Ephesians 6:16). It has its source in the word of God. When faith is not having the word of God as its source then it is fake and capable of bringing shame. The word of God is the source of genuine faith that cannot fail. The ignorance of this is the reason for the frustration in the body of Christ today. People think they have faith when they do not. The word of God could come to you through the preaching of God’s word either through the electronic media o

TESTIMONY

Image
TESTIMONY Read: 1 Samuel 17:30–37  Devotional:- “Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God” (V.36)        One of the major instigators of faith in our heart is testimony. Testimony is the sharing of the manifestation of the power of God. The bible itself is a book of testimonies of the wonderful deeds of God. Anywhere the testimonies of God’s deeds are shared faith is activated. This is because God is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrew 13:8). What He has done yesterday He can also do today. What He has done for mister ‘A’ He can as well do for mister ‘B’

HOPE

Image
HOPE   Read: Romans 4:13-22  Devotional:- “who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be” (V.18).       Today so many people have come to believe that having hope is actually wrong. They think life is better based on fate and not faith. Fate is whatever life can bring but faith is the assurance of what God can do. If you cannot be hopeful in God, then you cannot wait to see the great doing of God in your life.

JOINT HEIRS

Image
JOINT HEIRS Read: Romans 8:14-17  Devotional:- “And if children, then heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if we indeed suffer with Him that we may also be glorified together” (V.17)      It is important that you identify who you are in Christ Jesus. Living as what God says you are and not as what people or situation says you are. This is right self-esteem. This is how you can by faith enforce the will of God over your life and destiny.

RIGHTEOUSNESS

Image
RIGHTEOUSNESS  Read: Romans 3:21-26 Devotional:- “Even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference” (V.22)      As army of faith, we must be of good understanding of our righteousness in God. One of the ways the devil easily weaken people’s faith is by condemning them or reminding them of their past sin. So many believer also still operate in the mentality of religion and not faith. Since people think they are humble to always think of their sin whenever there is a challenge, the enemy makes them see themselves as not qualified of any benefit of God. All these are product of ignorance.

SONSHIP

Image
SONSHIP  Read: John 1:9-14  Devotional:- “But as many as receive Him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name” (V.12).      It is of great importance to constantly keep in your mind the revelation about your son-ship in God. This reminds you of your status in Christ and gives you a steady growth in faith. If you forget the son of whom you are, you are bound to face what you are not supposed.

BLOOD OF THE LAMB

Image
BLOOD OF THE LAMB Read: Revelation 12:9-12 Devotional: “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death” (V.11) KJV      Children of God need to come to the understanding of the fact that playing safe is creates limitations. It is time to step out of your little place and face the challenges of life for victory.
