  DON’T HATE Matthew 5:43-48  Devotional:- “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,” (V. 44) NKJV The subject of love is not always easy to practise between you, and those who have shown themselves as committed enemies. Those who will openly stand against you. Those who just hate you for no reason. Those who don’t pray that anything good should happen to you. Yet the Bible gave us a commandment in the midst of it all to love and never to hate them. What a great task! But until a Christian grows to this level, he cannot actually be called mature. The way to handle it is that we should bless those who curse us. Always do good to those who hate you. If they are moved by the spirit in them to do evil to you, be moved by the Spirit in you to love them. We cannot truly say we love till we can prayerfully demonstrate the character of love. CHRIST LIKE         

Scripture: Act 11: 19-26 
Devotional:-“And when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch” (v.26) NKJV


    A growing kingdom citizen demonstrates it in his character. Our character is what shows that we are truly growing. Our character is the sum total of our belief, habits and attitudes. Our character is what we are known for. The kind of behavior or reactions people known with us. They are the traits of life style deduced by people’s observation of what we do. 
God’s word told us that it was in Antioch that the believers were first called Christians. Those who called them Christians were not necessarily believers. These are people who have seen Jesus and observe His characters. And now they observe this believer behaving like Jesus, so they call them Christians. This means people who are Christ like.
That is not a religious name as it is supposed today, but it is a name of people who are like Christ. That makes it so important that you and I keep growing in the character and the attitude of Jesus. We must make Him our character model. We must observe all He does. We must study His word and pray His life style into our life. We are Christians when our life reflects that of Jesus. Peace.

Prayer: Lord, help me to keep conforming to your character. 

"ONLY THE CHARACTER OF CHRIST MAKES A CHRISTIAN"

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
