FLOATING AXE Devotional:- 2 Kings 6:1-7 “So the man of God said, "Where did it fall?" And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float’’ (V.6) NKJV  Sometimes when we read about some great wonders of God in the Bible, something makes us feel it was because the people were very special. But we need to know that they are men of like passion (James 5:17-18). They were just exactly like we are, but they were only men of faith. This makes God to work wonders through them. The sons of the prophet needed a big place of dwelling. So they decide to cut trees to make a new home. Thank God they requested that Elisha should go with them. As they were cutting the trees, the axe head fell into the deep river. And the man of God asked the Holy Spirit for what to do. GREAT REWARD Daniel 12:1-10 Devotional – Those who are wise shall shine Like the brightness of the firmament, And those who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever (v. 3) NKJV      Often time people think anytime we are given an instruction from the word of God it must be for the benefit of the Church or the Christian religion. It is important you stop thinking Christianity is a religion. What confuses people are not always lies but half truth. Half truth is still not the truth. The truth is that God is not into religion and Christianity is not a religion. It is a life of relationship with God. God always look out for relationship with man (Genesis 3:8; John 4:23). That is what He made us for. He wants to live with man forever (Revelation 21:3).

GO YE Mark 16:9-20 Devotional:- “And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature” (v. 15) NKJV      No matter how good we are or how educated we are about soul winning, it will not replace the act of going out to win soul. In fact without going the rest is a waste. That is why our Christian life will not be completed without our involvement in soul winning. You need to know that until you are ready to practically face the ridicule, you don’t become a miracle.

DISCIPLESHIP Mark 8:34-38 Devotional:- “When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, "Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me” (v. 34)      Part of the Great Commission is for us to disciple the souls won to the Kingdom of God. The work of discipleship is to teach the convert the necessary doctrine and principles of Christ. It is taking them through series of teachings from meaning of conversion, to redemption, to character, to faith and love of God and love for the brethren. These include teaching them the covenant of the Kingdom of God.

FOLLOW UP Act 15:36-41 Devotional:- Then after some days Paul said to Barnabas, "Let us now go back and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they are doing. (V. 36)      Preaching the gospel is sowing the seed of soul winning. The souls won are the harvest but there is a need for continuous watering of the soul.  That is what follow-up does to the souls. It is returning to see to their growth and well-being. It is an attempt to make them have a company of care and concern.

V. 1      There are different approaches through which we can have an outreach to win souls for the Lord. The approach to be chosen depends on the kind of people and the area we are reaching out to. Jesus says we should be as wise as serpent and as gentle as do (Matthew 10:16).

IN AND OUT 2 Timothy 4:1-5  Devotional:- "Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching". (V. 2)      True Christians don’t follow the instruction of the master only when it is convenient but as it is commanded. The assignment of soul winning is a commandment for every child of God (Matthew 28:19). Whether it is convenient or not, we are to preach the gospel as much as we have the opportunity. It could be in your community, your ways, your office or place of business. It could be in the school for a student.

DON’T ARGUE 2 Timothy 2:14-26  Devotional:- "But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife". (V. 23)      As we go out to win souls for the Lord, we must avoid going into arguments with people. It is not in the interest of the devil that souls are won to the Kingdom of God. So he will use some people to stir up arguments. That is why we must be of good understanding of how to handle such people.

OPEN YOUR MOUTH Psalms 81:8-16  Devotional:- "I am the LORD your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt; Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it".  (V. 10)      It is important we don't allow anything or anyone to intimidate us when it comes to going to share the gospel with people. We must not allow any form of excuses to stop us. Moses said I am not eloquent. The Lord said he will be with his mouth (Exodus 4:10-12). Jeremiah said I don’t know how to speak and I am too young, God corrected him (Jeremiah 1:6-8).

BE EQUIPPED  Psalms 119:92-104  Devotional:- "I have more understanding than all my teachers, For Your testimonies are my meditation".   (V. 99)      Every soul winner most equipped themselves for the assignment of so winning. Sharing the word of God is also communication.  That is why it will demand each one equipping themselves to be effective. When Peter spoke on the day of Pentecost, he did not prepare a sermon note but he must have been preparing by studying his Bible. That Bible verse he was quoting does not jump on him, so we all have to be prepared and equipped.

(V. 16)      Grace is like the grease or lubricant that makes the metals running together to be void of friction. It makes the engine work without difficulties. It makes it void of noise. ENGAGE GOD Zachariah 4:1-10  Devotional:- "So he answered and said to me: "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' Says the LORD of hosts". (V. 6)      To be able to win the soul of people unto the Lord, we need to learn to engage God. Human are spirit and it will take the spirit of the Lord to convict and save them (John 16:8). God is able to control the heart of people to wherever He wants (Proverbs 21:1). No matter how eloquent you are, only the Holy Spirit can convert the soul of people.

CHARACTER TRANSFORMATION Romans 12:1-8  Devotional:- "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God". (V. 2)      So many children of God still feel timid and not courageous to preach the gospel because they feel they are bad to people. They feel that people may not receive them because of their poor character before they believed. It is important we keep working on our character but that should not stop you from preaching to others. If God could use Paul, the apostle, then He can use anyone.

SUBMIT TO CHRIST James 4:7-10 Devotional:- “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you” (V. 7) NKJV      One of the criteria to sharing the gospel is that the gospeller must also submit to Jesus. God can use anyone but you will find more footing when you have also submit to Jesus before you can boldly convince others to come. The life of your Christian should be an example wherever he/she is. That is why Jesus called us the light of the world (Matthew 16:14).

GREAT COMMISSION Matthew 28:16-20 Devotional:- " therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. (V. 19)      Every believer is commissioned by Christ to preach the gospel. The mission of Jesus has become our mission as a believer. DARKNESS TO LIGHT Isaiah 9:1-5 Devotional:- "The people who walked in darkness Have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, Upon them a light has shined". (V. 2)      Darkness is the greatest problem of humanity. Darkness here represents blindness of the mind. This is the work and the activities of the devil (2 Corinthians 4:4). A mind that is blinded will not receive nor understand any good information you give to them. So they will be weak and not capable of rising.

TRAP OF IGNORANCE Hosea 4:6-10 Devotional:- "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children". (V. 6)      The trap of ignorance is a trap of refusal to learn. This is the most popular disease in the world today. The word of God says it is not good for a soul to be without knowledge (Proverbs 19:2). Yet many people do not know that human brain is born blank just like a brand new computer without installations. It is as good as not having a computer. It is what is installed into it that determines its functionality, so also is our mind.

And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
