YOUR MOUTH

Image
YOUR MOUTH Luke 21:7-19 Devotional:-“for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist” (V. 15) NKJV      It is important for us to know that the word of God has put us in the office of god over the devil (Exodus 7:1). This is part of the blessing of the Spirit of God dwelling in us. So we exercise the authority of God. Part of this authority is judging the devil and his host. God’s word says every tongue that shall rise against us, we shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

GOD’S PRESENCE

Image
GOD’S PRESENCE  Psalms 16:1-11 Devotional:- “I have set the LORD always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved” (V. 8) NKJV      One of the weapons of faith all God’s children must carry in their minds is the presence of God. God promised us that He will be with us in whatever situation we may be (Isaiah 43:1-5, Matthew 28:19). But this will have no effect if left in our bible and not established in our Soul. You need to let it be settled in your heart that God is with you, and this will produce great power in your heart.

REGULAR MEAL

Image
REGULAR MEAL Luke 4:1-8 Devotional:- “But Jesus answered him, saying, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.'"” (V. 4) NKJV      Physically, what a man regularly feeds on will always determine his fitness. So it is in all areas of our life. Most of us have not come to the awareness of the fact that what we feed our Soul with will always determine our strengths or weaknesses. That is why God’s word warned us to be careful of what we listen to (Mark 4:24).

IGNORANCE

Image
IGNORANCE Hosea 4:4-10 Devotional:- “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children” (v.6) NKJV      One of the strongest enemies of your strength in God is ignorance. There are several categories of ignorance. There is a level yet to be out. There is another level of no light. But whichever of the levels is affecting a man, it is so strong that it will destroy the Strength of that man. I want to say that either of the levels can be removed by seeking the Lord (Isaiah 40:31)

PLAYING WITH SIN

Image
PLAYING WITH SIN Judges 16:11-21 Devotional;- “And she said, "The Philistines are upon you, Samson!" So he awoke from his sleep, and said, "I will go out as before, at other times, and shake myself free!" But he did not know that the LORD had departed from him” (v.20) NKJV      God’s word says we cannot continue in sin and expect the grace of God to continue to abound (Rom. 6:1). Since divine strength feeds on grace, it is therefore impossible for a man to retain godly strength with sin. The word of God says whoever is sinning is of the devil, for the devil sinned from the beginning.

PRIDE

Image
PRIDE Proverbs 16:10-19 Devotional:- “Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.” (V 18) NIV      Strength is primarily a function of grace. A man is strong because God has granted him the ngrace. That is why you will observe that each man is strong in different areas of life. The area of our strength is simply the area of our grace, and the giver of grace is God. Therefore, it demands that we humble ourselves to retain our grace.

LOSING FOCUS

Image
LOSING FOCUS  Matthey 14:22-30 Devotional:- “But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!” (v.30) NKJV      God’s children have not fully come into the realm God has packaged for us. That is why I know that in your life, God will yet do great and awesome things. God will use your case to prove His power. Peter, having enjoyed the grace of God, had a strong faith and courage in God.

FEAR

Image
FEAR Numbers 13:26-33 Devotional:- “But the men who had gone up with him said, "We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we."” (v.31) NKJV      Fear is an act of admitting that your enemy is stronger than you. Any time you are afraid of your situation, you simply make God a liar, and His word of no effect. God’s word says, greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4). But fear makes you accept that he that is in the world is greater than He that is in you.

IMPATIENCE

Image
IMPATIENCE I Samuel 13:7-14 Devotional:- “And Samuel said to Saul, “You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of the LORD your God, which He commanded you. For now, the LORD would have established your kingdom over Israel forever” (v.13) NKJV      You must let nothing reduce or remove your strength in God. One of the things that removes human’s strength in God is impatience. It is in the nature of man to always want to dominate and control things around him and in his life because God has created us with the grace for dominion.

RUNNING WITHOUT DIRECTION

Image
RUNNING WITHOUT DIRECTION Proverbs 8:22-36 Devotional:- “Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting daily at my doorway (V. 34) NIV      We came to this world by the single decision of God. He made us for His purpose. We came here to serve Him. It will then be out of order for us to want to live here as we like. This is the reason for many believers' weaknesses. God gave us Jesus to return us to Himself, but when we give our lives to Christ, we still want to live for ourselves and as we like.

ABSENTING FROM ZION

Image
ABSENTING FROM ZION Psalm 87:1-7 Devotional:- “They go from strength to strength; Each one appears before God in Zion” (v.7) NKJV      It is important that you, as a believer, understand the importance of fellowshipping with the church. It is a place where people of the same Spirit come together and share strength. It is a place where the God of the church comes to bless His people (Ps. 133:3).

DOUBT

Image
DOUBT 2 Kings 7:1-3, 17-18 Devotional:- “So an officer on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said, "Look, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, could this thing be?" And he said, "In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it."" (V.2) NKJV      Men in their physical nature often want to exercise doubt in the invisible. We look at what is not visible as almost impossible. We forget that many virtues supporting our technology today are also not visible, but they are possible.

DISCOURAGEMENT

Image
DISCOURAGEMENT 1 Samuel 30:1-6      Devotional:- “Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.” (v.6) NKJV        As we pursue our desire on earth, we are bound to face some challenging situations, and this should not scare you. This is because whenever you want to take a positive step, you need to know that you are taking action. And every action commands a reaction. Your steps to progress are inadvertently weakening some forces. So your action must always expect a reaction.

SORROW

Image
SORROW Nehemiah 8:4-12 Devotional:- “Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” (v. 10) NKJV      It is the target of the enemy, using every avenue to make a strong man weak. One of the weapons of the enemy to make a man weak is sorrow. This is not just a psychological feeling, it’s an affliction released or unleashed upon the life of a man from the pit of hell. No matter how strong a man is, when he allows sorrow, he is coming down. God’s word says; sorrow rotten bones (Proverbs 17:22).

HOPE DEFERRED

Image
HOPE DEFERRED Proverbs 13:12-16 Devotional:- “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life” (v. 12) NKJV      When we want to set goals for ourselves, it would be wonderful if we set a time for our goals. But when it comes to an expectation in our life, when we set goals by faith, we should never waver. We term a hope delayed, when we have an expectation schedule for a time, and it does not seem to be coming at the time we have set for it.

DISTANCING FROM THE SCRIPTURES

Image
DISTANCING FROM THE SCRIPTURES Deuteronomy 8:1-11 Devotional:- “To teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD” (v.3) NIV      The word of God is the bank of our strength in God. The word of God is the strength of God (John 1:1-3; Hebrews 4:12). Through the word, God had done all He had done. God’s word says, without Him, nothing else was created (John 1:3). When a man, therefore, distances himself from the Word of God, such is distancing himself from his source, He will lack the strength of God.

WITHOUT HIM

Image
WITHOUT HIM  John 15:1-8 Devotional:- "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing” (V. 5) NKJV        God made man to be independent. He made us as being that is capable of carrying out our destiny on earth. We are made like God. Yet, we must know that true independence is to know what you want and choose to connect to where you can get it. No independence means not depending on a source. You are made to be influenced by a spirit, depending on your choice. It could now be of God or the devil (Job 32:8).

BE STRONG

Image
BE STRONG Ephesians 6:10-18 Devotional:- “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the Power of His might.” (v.10) NKJV      When you see a man with a strong body behaving like a chicken, something is really wrong. We all know that it is humiliating to hear that a seven-year-old girl defeats a man of thirty years in battle. This should be a function of ignorance, i.e., not knowing how to deal with such an embarrassing situation.

YOU HAVE TO FIGHT

Image
YOU HAVE TO FIGHT Deuteronomy 20:1-4 Devotional:- “When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the LORD your God is with you, who brought you up from the land of Egypt” (V. 4) NKJV      God’s children must come to realize that our victory has been purchased by by the blood of Jesus, but we have to fight to establish it in our lives. If you have to face the devil, it will be impossible to defeat him. he was in a greater glory before than you are now. He has been in a battle game before the creation of man (Revelation 12:7-8). He knows far more than we do.

YOUR OPPONENTS

Image
YOUR OPPONENTS     1 Peter 5:5-11 DEVOTIONAL:- “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” (v. 8). NKJV      When a man does not know his opponent, he will be totally ignorant of the way to victory. Most people always make the mistakes taking man as their enemy. As God’s children, we must come to understand that the forces against us are the forces of the devil, though they always use people.

STRENGTH IN GOD

Image
STRENGTH IN GOD 2 Corinthians 10:1-6 Devotional:- “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds” (V4) NKJV      Many Christians today have so much confusion about their strength in God. It has made the church think that a few limited people can demonstrate the strength of God. So, multitudes are weak in strength. Though they come to church, yet in times of challenges, you see them rushing to another Christian whom they know to be stronger in God. Neglecting the fact that a New Testament believer is a potential priest and king for Christ (Revelation 5:10; Mark 16:17).
