AUTHORITY Luke 10:5-20  Devotional:- “Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you” (v. 19) NLT One of the most sought after instrument in this world is authority. In the social setting of the world, when people have acquire some things of life, they then begin to go for authority. But because Jesus came from above, he made available to every believer by the reason of His love what is called true authority. Authority is the power or right to enforce obedience. In the world here people cannot enjoy absolute authority. They can only enjoy delegated authority. But do you know that we have greater authority? And we can grow in this authority to become greater and greater by the level of our faith. We can possess total authority over the enemy the moment we are in tune with God and don’t mingle with sin. SUFFERING

SUFFERING

Romans 8: 18-27
Devotional:-“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us” (v.18) NKJV

Spiritual growth occurs when we pass through some measures of suffering. God often allow challenges on our ways to provoke us to seek Him and grow in His grace. Everyone who want to be strong in the Lord must be willing to pass through a time of challenge. They are meant to provoke us to overcome. Until we partake of the suffering of Christ, we may not grow strong enough as Christians (Philippians 3:10).

It's important we know that our challenging season are often product of our weaknesses (James 1: 12-15) When God observe that we are not growing in a particular area of our lives, He then has to chastise us in such area (Hebrews 12:5-11). Instead of some people taking their challenge as a means of a training, they take offense in God and they are defeated by the devil (1 Cor 10:10).

Times of need or challenges are time to check our connection with God, hold on to His word and receive faith to challenge our situations. No one enjoy challenging time but when it is taking in righteousness, it produces the fruits of righteousness (Romans 5: 3-5, James 1:12, Hebrews 12: 11). So, rise up to wait on God in prayers for a word (Rhema) to grow your faith in the Lord to overcome. Challenge your challenges and you shall be victorious. Peace.

Prayer: Lord, strengthen me to overcome my challenges.
