THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. MEMBER OF HIS BODY

MEMBER OF HIS BODY

1 Corinthians 12:14-27
“Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually” (v. 27) NKJV

One of the reasons you must be growing as a child of God is that you have become one with the Lord (1 Corinthians 6:17). You are now a member of His body. As a member of the body of Christ, you must not be a stagnant part. The life of Christ is to flow into you. If the life of Christ is flowing into you, then you must be growing.

The problem with many so-called Christian is that, they are not conscious member of the body of Jesus. They claim to be one but they are not conscious of their nature in Christ. If you are truly one with Jesus, there are a number of things that will not fit in to Christ that we still do today. Beginning from our mind-set, to our speeches, our actions, our relationships, our choices, our attitude, our dresses, our fellowship and many more (1 Corinthians 6:15).

To grow as a member of the body of Jesus, we must be conscious of the fact that God has implanted us in to Christ (Romans 9:25-26). We therefore must keep taking the engrafted word of God (James 1:21). This is by regularly learning the way to live in His body. We must take the other believers as member of the same body with us in Christ (Romans 12:5). We must identify our functions and fit into it as a functional member of the body (Romans 12:4-5). Then we shall be growing and become a blessing to the body of Christ. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, make me a functional member of the body of Christ

“JESUS IS ONLY COMING FOR THE MEMBER OF HIS BODY”
