But without our parents, you would not have come into being at all, so the Bible demands that they should never be forgotten. Some people grew up to turn their parents into their personal enemy; most women wouldn’t like attention to be given to their in-laws. When the Lord blesses some people, they now see their parents as not fit to come into their homes for visitation. These are tricks of the devil to cheat us and deceive us. It is our covenant...

MEMBER OF HIS BODY

MEMBER OF HIS BODY

1 Corinthians 12:14-27
“Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually” (v. 27) NKJV

One of the reasons you must be growing as a child of God is that you have become one with the Lord (1 Corinthians 6:17). You are now a member of His body. As a member of the body of Christ, you must not be a stagnant part. The life of Christ is to flow into you. If the life of Christ is flowing into you, then you must be growing.

The problem with many so-called Christian is that, they are not conscious member of the body of Jesus. They claim to be one but they are not conscious of their nature in Christ. If you are truly one with Jesus, there are a number of things that will not fit in to Christ that we still do today. Beginning from our mind-set, to our speeches, our actions, our relationships, our choices, our attitude, our dresses, our fellowship and many more (1 Corinthians 6:15).

To grow as a member of the body of Jesus, we must be conscious of the fact that God has implanted us in to Christ (Romans 9:25-26). We therefore must keep taking the engrafted word of God (James 1:21). This is by regularly learning the way to live in His body. We must take the other believers as member of the same body with us in Christ (Romans 12:5). We must identify our functions and fit into it as a functional member of the body (Romans 12:4-5). Then we shall be growing and become a blessing to the body of Christ. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, make me a functional member of the body of Christ

“JESUS IS ONLY COMING FOR THE MEMBER OF HIS BODY”
