THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. CHANGING YOUR AUTOPILOT

CHANGING YOUR AUTOPILOT

Romans 12: 1-5
Devotional:-“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” (v.2) NKJV

Growth occurs when we change. And if we don’t change, we are not growing. There is no one who don’t want to change but we don’t like to change. If people are motivating us to change, we often don’t like to stay around them. But without change we cannot grow.

The truth is that, change is painful psychologically, but if we must grow, we must change. The pain of change is that, what we have laboured to build, we now have to break. It is declining on what we have inclined. To make it easy for us to change, there are some fundamental things that must change, the first, is the way we think. Please understand that the way we think is influenced by the association we keep. So, to change, you must change your association.

We must choose to start to think in the way of God. (Isaiah 55: 8) This is by thinking the way of the word of God. We also need to locate the new association that encourages us to think the new and godly way (1 Corinthians 15:33, Proverbs 13:20). Don’t’ forget that it took us a long time to learn the wrong, so we must not be in a haste to unlearn the wrong and learn the right one. But the strength of new change is persistence in the right way. Receive the grace of God. Peace.

Prayer: Lord, I need your grace for my change.
