FLOATING AXE Devotional:- 2 Kings 6:1-7 “So the man of God said, "Where did it fall?" And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float’’ (V.6) NKJV  Sometimes when we read about some great wonders of God in the Bible, something makes us feel it was because the people were very special. But we need to know that they are men of like passion (James 5:17-18). They were just exactly like we are, but they were only men of faith. This makes God to work wonders through them. The sons of the prophet needed a big place of dwelling. So they decide to cut trees to make a new home. Thank God they requested that Elisha should go with them. As they were cutting the trees, the axe head fell into the deep river. And the man of God asked the Holy Spirit for what to do. NEGATIVE INFORMATION Mark 4:21-29 Devotional:- “Then He said to them, "Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given“ (V.24) NKJV      The strongest enemy of faith is negative information. It is negative information that produces the rest of the enemies of faith. It produces fear, doubt, worry, Impatience, pride, and more. I want to say that negative information is the greatest enemy of man. Through it, the devil often destroys and decomposes man to weakness.

MEEKNESS Numbers 12:1-9 Devotional:- “Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth” (V3) KJV      The most vital aspect of faith is for man to yield to God’s instructions. God wants us to obey Him by faith. This is a level of honour to God. If Moses did not obey God, he would not have seen all the miracles he saw in Egypt and the wilderness. If the priests had not obeyed to step into Jordan by faith, the water would not have parted for them (Joshua 3:13).

All of us have to be spiritually conscious that some spiritual forces are always around us (Exodus 33:14, Psalms 91:11). We know this by our feelings because we are also spiritual beings. It is only the body we live in that has limited us to be able to have a physical view of them. But then, you need to know that you are the one who determines the forces that stand around you.

EXERCISING IN THE SPIRIT Jude 1:17-22 Devotional:- “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit” (V. 20) NKJV      For a man to be built up in faith, he must be filled with the Holy Spirit and regularly exercise in it. That is because it is the exercises that inspire, anoint, and build faith in you for the achievement of God’s will for your life (Jude 20, Act 4:31). It will be dangerous for any man to remain dry in the Spirit, it could lead to a total defeat in life. That is why God’s word asks us to build up ourselves in the spirit.

HOLY SPIRIT  John 16:5-15 Devotional:-“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come” (V.13) NKJV      It should be settled in your heart that you are a spirit being. You are not just an ordinary flesh like a mere animal. You are more than a mere biological being. Please know that one spirit or the other influences each man. Two major spirits control life; the spirit of God and the spirit of the enemy. No one is free from either of these spirits. No neutral ground and no vacuum. All of us have either of them.

(V.5) NKJV      If we are going to see the great power of God at work in our lives? If we are going to become a point of reference to the mighty works of God? If we will become God’s vessel to turn the world around for God? then we must embrace obedience to God’s instruction. Often time when God speaks to us, our mind queries His instruction. Divine instructions may not look reasonable but they are powerful.

WHAT IS THE TRUTH?  John 8:31-36 Devotional:- “And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free” (V.32)      All that man needs to be free from all bondages of life is the encounter with the truth. The truth is a mystery; a secret of the power of God. All this is hidden in the word of God (Proverbs 25:2). Knowing the truth is like knowing the working power of God. The truth is this; no one handles power and will not attempt to use it. When something is yet to work for you in God, don’t ever think God is a failure. It is only that you do not have the truth about the matter yet (Hosea 4:6).

GOD’S PRESENCE Psalms 16:1-11 Devotional:- “I have set the LORD always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved” (V. 8) NKJV      One of the weapons of faith all God’s children must carry in their minds is the presence of God. God promised that He will be with us in whatever situation we may be (Isaiah 43: 1-5, Matthew 28:19). But this will have no effect if left in our bible and not established in our spirit. You need to let it be settled in your heart that God is with you, and this will produce great power in your heart.

Most of us have not come to the awareness of the fact that, what we feed our spirit with will always determine our strengths or weaknesses. That is why God’s word warned us to be careful of what we listen to (Mark 4:24).

Testimony is the sharing of the manifestation of the power of God. The Bible itself is the book of testimonies of the wonderful deeds of God. Anywhere the testimonies of God’s deeds are shared, faith is activated. This is because God is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He can do again what He has done yesterday. RIGHTEOUSNESS Romans 3:21-26 Devotional:- “even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference;” (V. 22) NKJV      As an army of faith, we must have of good understanding of our righteousness in God. One of the ways the devil easily weakens people’s faith is by condemning them or reminding them of their past sins. So many believers also still operate in the mentality of religion and not faith. Since people think they are humble enough to always think of their sins whenever there is a challenge, the enemy makes them see themselves as not qualified for any benefit of God. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
