  THANK HIM FOR ALL Zechariah 4:1-10 Devotional:- “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; His hands shall also finish it and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you” (V. 9) KJV In such a season as this, one of the weapons of the devil to steal the joy of many is discouragement. The enemy will make them see that God has not been good to them. He will make us to think of what God has not done, and not what He has done. He will make us compare ourselves to others and so one will see other people as better.   God can provide all that you need, and He is not mindful or unfaithful to you. He gave you the one you have today, but all that is good for your life. He will also give you if you can wait on Him by faith. Such time like this should challenge us to become better to do better. SELF ESTEEM

SELF ESTEEM        

1 Timothy 4:12-16
Devotional:-“Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity” (v.12) NKJV


   A salient foundational problem of most people is what is called self-esteem. You need to know that we are made differently. Some people don’t have this problem by their nature, especially some sanguine and choleric. They easily demonstrate and talk it over, yet some of them still have to fight this trouble silently in their lives. It shows more on phlegmatic people because they cannot pretend. 

Low self-esteem is when; you see yourself to be of lesser value, not easy for you to socialize with people, extreme sensitivity to people’s opinion, over consciousness about your appearance or performance, judgmental view of others, parasite attitude in relationship, defensive in communication or intimidation by your past failures or mistakes (Isaiah 43:18-19). Paul told Timothy that he should not let anyone look down on him, so also each of us. A man with low self-esteem will still look like a failure even if he is better and blessed because he attached his value to wrong factor like money, materials or mistakes.

To grow your self-esteem is to grow your self-value. i.e., your worth through the word of God. Please know that whatever God says about you is final and not what man says (Matthew 16:13-17). Admit your mistakes don’t pretend to be perfect. That you are a man/woman of God means there is a human side of your life. Don’t take failure personally as though that is your identity. Keep admitting your weaknesses and growing to overcome them. And soon you will stand above.  Peace. 

Prayer: Lord, deliver me from self-intimidation.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.
