  ATMOSPHERE OF LOVE l John 4:12-19 Devotional:- “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.“ (V. 18) NKJV In any environment where love is predominant, such environment will be characterized with liberty. So many people who desire an atmosphere of love today unconsiciously create barriers agaisnt it by not creating a free environment. In the home of some people, though they complain there is no love, they don’t create liberty among themselves. The scripture we read today says, “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. “A very good portrait of love is the atmosphere God created in the garden of Eden at creation. God wanted love, and so He made it a free relationship. Liberty is not an absence of rules and regulations but the joy of living by the rules without fear. STUDY THE WORD    

Joshua 1: 1-9
Devotional:- “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success” (v.8) NKJV


   To grow is to increase in strength and strength is adding up in knowledge (Proverb 24:5) Those who hate knowledge cannot grow. That is why ignorance is a sin to God. (Hosea 4:6) This is because, those who lack knowledge have deliberately ignore knowledge. They don’t want to take the pain or pay the price. As a child of light, you must not live-in ignorance or else you will expose yourself to the activities of the devil (1 John 1:7). 

The word of God says, we must meditate on the word to be able to gain strength to do them. The challenge with studying is the fact that it is beyond reading. It is working or laboring to get more insight from an information. It is making research into an information. To make research demand some level of repetition and tautology. So, the lazy always avoid it. If you want to grow as a citizen of the kingdom of God, you must study the word of God. There is nothing really good that is at the surface. Good virtues are deeper than normal. It takes strong determination to fetch them out. 

Friend, stop rushing to read your Bible. Take two or three verses at a time and study them deeply by meditating over them. You need to search deeper to gain understanding (Psalm 119:130). Then you will find strength to do or to obey the word of God. Peace. 

Prayer: Lord, give me the grace to study. 

"THE DEPTH OF YOUR STUDY DETERMINES THE DEPTH OF YOUR LIFE"

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
