ACKNOWLEDGING HIM

ACKNOWLEDGING HIM Proverbs 3:1-8  Devotional:- “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (v.6) KJV. To be able to enjoy God’s loving kindness, all of us must learn to always acknowledge God in all our decision-making. This simply means that we recognise Him as our owner and the one who is qualified to instruct us on where to turn. When we gave our lives to Christ, we all confessed Jesus as our Lord. This means we acknowledge Him as the one who has the final decision over our lives. But we often forget to carry Him along in making decisions that will, in the end, have a great adverse effect on our lives. If we are to enjoy the love and the goodness of the Lord, we must learn to acknowledge Him. And this is by patiently asking Him for His instructions for us. The truth is that He will always guide us. He said, “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye” (Psalms 32:8). The truth is that you are gu...

WHAT IS GROWTH

WHAT IS GROWTH

Luke 2:36-40
Devotional:-“And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him” (v.40) NKJV

The reason why people live in frustration is because of lack of growth. Life become unbearable when man can no longer cope with his challenges. The reason man cannot cope with the challenges of his life is because, he is weak in that aspect of life (Proverbs 24:10). Instead of complaining, God expect us to build up and overcome the challenges of our lives. So, the way to progress in life is growth.

Growth is the act of increasing, becoming stronger and better in life. In the scripture we read today, we saw Jesus growing up as a child, yet increasing in different aspect of His life. This is a key factor to your success on earth. Jesus was growing stronger in the spirit because, that is what He was made of and that is what we are also made of (John 4: 24, Genesis 1:26-27). He was filled with wisdom and was growing in understanding (Proverbs 4:7). He also acquires the grace of God because growth qualifies for grace (Proverbs 4:9).

These are blessings that comes with growth. Let us refuse to be victim of life but be willing to grow up in Christ Jesus, so that we can be qualified for our heritage in God (Galatians 4: 1). A none growing person will miss out in the blessings of life. But when we grow up, we do not only qualify but become strong enough to handle the good things of life. Peace.

Prayer: Lord, give me a heart for growth.
