THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. COURAGE

COURAGE

Joshua 1:1-9
Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV

A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.

To understand what courage is. You can view it from discouragement. Courage is the opposite of discouragement. It is an internal strength that is generated by a great desire to achieve a goal. Everyone has courage, but it differs in levels. When the level of courage generated by a man is not strong, then achievement may not be easy.

Most of the glorious things God has prepared for you this year need a good level of courage to have them. God told Joshua, “Except you are courageous, you may not enter Canaan.” This message is also for you. The way to keep growing in a good level of courage is to be highly selective about the kind of information you are receiving. Learn to always be where you will be encouraged. This is gotten in the house of God (Psalm 84:7). You also need to learn to always encourage yourself. Waiting on others to always encourage you is a weak level (1 Samuel 30:6). You will always need to be highly determined to achieve your goal. Also, watch out to make sure you are not doing something that is against God’s will, that will make you lack divine support (John 15:5). Any program or project that God is not involved in will surely fail at the end. Acknowledge God in all your ways (Proverbs 3:5-6). Always go out with a winning heart, ie expecting victory by the help of the Lord. And God will always surprise you. Peace.

Prayer: Lord, help me to develop enough strength of courage for my achievement this year.

IF YOU ALWAYS REFUSE TO BE DISCOURAGED, YOU WILL ALWAYS ACHIEVE YOUR GOAL
