LOVE OF GOD

LOVE OF GOD I John 4:7-19 Devotional:- “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God” (V. 7) NIV You can hardly separate these two virtues; they are love and joy. They work together as twin brothers. You cannot love and not be joyful. In this season of joy, one of the things you must give room to for your joy to come is love. If you were not billing to love, you may not see joy. They have the same source; they both come from God (Psalm 16:11, 1 John 4:8) The scripture we read today said, Love comes from God and love is God. This means God cannot be in you and you can still hate. If you do, it is a sign that you are not born of God. You cannot be stealing and cheating, and you say you are a child of God. The bible teaches us how to truly demonstrate love. This is by following the example of God. He demonstrated His own love by giving us His most precious gift, Jesus Christ. WISDOM GROWTH

WISDOM GROWTH

Proverbs 4: 1-10
Devotional:0“Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding” (v.7) NKJV

Life becomes a struggle sooner or later when people grow in other areas of life and are not growing in wisdom. Wisdom is said to be the principal factor of life. The major trouble of life is the fact that those who ought to teach wisdom are only just growing. God has structured it for people to learn wisdom from homes, schools or churches. But wisdom has been scarce because of greed and needs.

Since wisdom centers have been diverted, those who want to grow in wisdom must be humble and receive it through searching (Ecclesiastes 1:13). We need wisdom for spiritual strength, business, finances, relationship and provision for progress. Wisdom is the ability to decide and act wisely.

To grow in wisdom, we must be willing to pay the price of searching for it through the information of the word of God and the one available through the books of the wise people in our different areas of need. Please understand that reading is not equal to wisdom, it is the Lord that gives wisdom. (Proverbs 2:6, Job 32:8) He teaches us through the factors of growth. Understand that a part of these factors are our challenges and our relationship experiences (Proverbs 13:20). Ask Him for wisdom (James 1:5). Don’t live among fools and God will give you wisdom. Peace.

Prayer: Lord, give me wisdom from above.
