PROTECTING YOUR CHURCH’S FAMILY

PROTECTING YOUR CHURCH’S FAMILY James 3:13-18 Devotional:- “Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace” (V. 18) Understanding that the second purpose of God for man is to belong to the church family, there is therefore a strong need for you to protect the unity of your church. Unity is the soul of fellowship. Nothing on earth is more valuable to God than the church because he paid the highest price for it and He wants to protect it. For you to be able to protect the unity of your church, you need to focus on what you have in common and not your differences (Rom 14:19). God wants unity and not uniformity. God made our differences and that should be respected. We must not let our differences divide us. To protect the unity of your church you must be realistic in your expectations from people. Don’t over expect. We need to give up the thought that the church should be perfect and admit that we all are not perfect people but people that wants to be perfec...

LIFE TIME

LIFE TIME

Ephesians 4: 10-13
Devotional:-“till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” (v.13) NKJV

For those who love to grow, it is important you know that growth is gradual and it is a life time adventure. We will only be perfect when we get to heaven. As long as we live in this world and in the flesh, we have to keep growing to overcome.

That is why you must not be disturbed that you still make mistakes. The Bible says, to us that God gives us the ministry gift. These are apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. These ministry gifts are offices God put people to function in, to equip the saints i.e., to raise believers to serve the Lord that the church of Jesus may keep growing.

Then the Bible pointed us to the fact that we have to keep growing till we come to easily working together with the Holy Spirit. As the body of Christ, we become mature in the Spirit when we are able to keep working together as one. But this is not a product of a few years of learning. That is why all children of God must keep growing in the Lord. We are slow learners; we are all in the process of growing. We should not keep repeating the same mistakes of life. So, commit yourself to a life time journey with God (Gen. 17:1) Don’t graduate out of growth, else you start to go down. Don’t become too big to learn. Then you will become more and more mature in Christ. Peace.

Prayer: Lord, help me to have a life time commitment of growing in you.
