FLOATING AXE Devotional:- 2 Kings 6:1-7 “So the man of God said, "Where did it fall?" And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float’’ (V.6) NKJV  Sometimes when we read about some great wonders of God in the Bible, something makes us feel it was because the people were very special. But we need to know that they are men of like passion (James 5:17-18). They were just exactly like we are, but they were only men of faith. This makes God to work wonders through them. The sons of the prophet needed a big place of dwelling. So they decide to cut trees to make a new home. Thank God they requested that Elisha should go with them. As they were cutting the trees, the axe head fell into the deep river. And the man of God asked the Holy Spirit for what to do. ESTABLISHMENT    Proverbs 24: 1-7 Devotional: -“Through wisdom a house is built, And by understanding it is established;” (v. 3)      All men labour to establish the work of their hand. But not all labour is established. There are businesses that have stayed over hundred years. There are some that cannot even last 10 years. Establishment is not because of huge investment; it is by the wisdom of God. God is the one who can sustain anything forever. His ways are the ways of wisdom.

PROTECTION     Proverbs 2:10-22 Devotional:-“Discretion will preserve you; Understanding will keep you,” (v.11)       Those who walk in wisdom will always enjoy divine protection. The wisdom of God is pure and peaceable (James 3: 17). So, God's wisdom does not need any evil deal with anyone. It is open and simple. The wisdom of God relates in faithfulness and integrity. It has no shady dealings. It does not deceive others because of gain and not greedy. (1 John 6: 6-10).

PEACE     PROVERBS 3:1-4  Devotional:- “For length of days and long life And peace they will add to you.” (v. 2)        The commandment of God is the wisdom of God (Deut. 4:6). When we obey the Lord, we are working in His wisdom (Matt. 7:24). When we are working in the wisdom of God, we are working in the ways of peace. The world does not know peace today because a natural man does not want to live in the will of God (Isaiah 59:8).

JOY.      Proverbs 3: 13-18 Devotional:-“Happy is the man who finds wisdom, And the man who gains understanding;” (v.13)      One of the results of wisdom is joy. As short as these three letter words, as valuable as they are to all men on earth. The presence of joy is the evidence of the presence of God and all good things of life (Psalm 16:11). That is why wherever joy is, affliction is not commonly found in the place. Sorrow which is the opposite of joy is what breaks down anything but joy builds a life of goodness.

SUCCESS       Ecclesiastes 10: 1-10 Devotional:-“If the ax is dull, And one does not sharpen the edge, Then he must use more strength; But wisdom brings success.” (v. 10)      One of the desires of every living being is success. Eagerness for success is wired in every man and woman. So, if God has made us to succeed and put the instinct of success in us, then He wants us to succeed. Since God want us to succeed, He must have put all it takes around us and especially in His word for our success.

We hear about all kind of sicknesses in the news almost on daily basis. You will not be part of these in Jesus Name. The reason for most of this affliction is lack of knowledge. We can overcome all of these when we work in divine wisdom.

DOING HIS WILL     Matthew 7: 24-29 Devotional:-“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:” (v. 24)      The heart of man always wants to fathom his own way. That is why we need to mind the spirit that our heart submits to (Romans 6:16). A carnal mind does not think of submitting to God, the Bible says he cannot (Romans 8:5-7). As a child of God, when we live in the way of the word of God, we are walking in the wisdom of God and not of men.

ACTION     Isaiah 60: 1-7 Devotional:-“Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you” (v. 1)      Wisdom is wise action. No action, no wisdom. Talking is not equal to wisdom. Until there is a good result produced by our actions then, it is not yet wisdom. This is because wisdom is identified by its good result (Matthew 11:19). A major step that separates failure from success is action. Action does not mean automatic success but continuous wise action does.

PLANNING.    Luke 14: 25-33 Devotional:-“For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it“ (v. 28)      One of the wisdom steps that has always work in all the ages is planning. This is putting on paper your thoughts that can be turned to steps of actions. It is often said that when your planning is successful you are actually 50% successful. Planning is action in the preparation stage. Planning is mapping out your steps of actions. To act without planning may cause sudden situation for failure. So, wise people always have a plan. To go to war or build a house without a plan may not bring success.

INSPIRATION Job 32:6-13 Devotional: -“But there is a spirit within people, the breath of the Almighty within them that makes them intelligent.” (v. 8) (NLT)    Men receive inspiration to act in wisdom when they give themselves to reading and studying. Inspiration is an energy received as we discover a solution to a situation. In most cases, inspiration is a spiritual influence upon our mind to produce something we have not been able to do before. Inspiration is breath release on your mind to be able to use your gifts or talent or special ability to achieve something.

READING    Daniel 9: 1-7 Devotional:- “In the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years specified by the word of the LORD through Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.” (v.2)      Wisdom is scarce today because most people don't read. We have seen reading as a work, so, it looks burdensome. To some people, reading does not produce money, so, they think it is not profitable. But the truth is that, wisdom may never manifest in some areas of life until we read.

THINKING      Philippians 4:2-9 Devotional:- “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things.” (v. 8)    Thinking is part of the assignment God has given to man to exercise in. He has given us a mind that can think. So, as a man, we are a thinking machine. A major reason we are better than the animal is that our thinking is higher than theirs. Nothing can be made happen good or bad without thinking. Men who don't think don't rise. Sometimes, we think in split of second and sometimes we need a quality time.

QUALITY DECISION      1 KING 3:16-28 Devotional:-“So the king answered and said, "Give the first woman the living child, and by no means kill him; she is his mother."” (v.27)    One of the characteristics of a man with divine wisdom is quality decision. Divine wisdom operates with the help of the Holy Spirit through the insight of the Holy Spirit. The truth about life is that, our decision determines our result. Our decisions in life are what cumulate to determine our destination.

POSITIVE MIND  MARK 9:14-29 Devotional:-“Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."” (v.23)      The mind of a child of God should be a positive mind, this is a mind that can do all things because he/she receives the strength of Christ always (Phil. 4:13). This is the mind that will not take a no or a defeat for an answer because he/she takes the truth of the word of God (1 John 5:4). This is a mind that always believes in victory and success. It is a mind that sees possibility in all things and is not afraid of anything (2 Tim. 1:7). Such mind believes in taking responsibility to progress. To a positive mind, all feet are achievable.

THE MIND OF CHRIST        1 CORINTHIANS 2:6-16 Devotional:-“For "who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ.” (v.16)      The mind of Christ is a mind that has been regenerated by the blood and the word of Christ (Heb. 9:13-14; 2 Cor. 5:17). When we give our life to Christ, repent of our sins and confess Jesus as our Lord and saviour, then the Holy Spirit takes over our spirit man (1 Corinthians 12:3). This is when the mind becomes a Spirit-controlled mind.

A RELIGIOUS MIND John 8: 31-47 Devotional:-“They answered Him, "We are Abraham's descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, 'You will be made free'?" (v.33)      Another type of mind people operates in especially in the church, is the religious mind. This is a mind programmed to hold on to the old truth and are not opened to the dynamic revelation of the word of God. Such mind is ready to fight in readiness to defend their old beliefs, that their fathers have handed over to them and they are not ready to receive a new revelation. Very good in quoting what God said, but not in what God is saying.

REPROBATE MIND

REPROBATE MIND     Romans 1: 18-32 Devotional:-“And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;” (v.28)      This is a mind that is sold out unto sin and ungodliness, this is a mind that is already possessed by the spirit of the devil, they can open their eyes and kill easily. This mind is sealed up and does not consider right things as an option. If he does it right, he is just pretending. He only rejoices in evil; this is because it is totally without God and he is fully connected by choice to the devil.

CARNAL MIND    Romans 8: 1-8 Devotional: -“For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” (v.6)      Many people want to succeed, but they operate a carnal mind. No one can succeed without his mind. There is no success in view for a mad man. It is not that he is not a man; it is only that he is a man without a working mind. He cannot sell or organize a business or employ a staff to work for him and pay. Why? He cannot coordinate himself, a man who can do all that, is not mad. So also, no one can succeed without a good mind.

JOSEPH    Genesis 41: 37-49 Devotional: -“Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, "Inasmuch as God has shown you all this, there is no one as discerning and wise as you.” (v.39)      Joseph was also a man who demonstrated the wisdom of God in the land of Egypt. He was able to rise from prison to the palace just by demonstrating the divine wisdom. Not because he was better, but because he has the Holy Spirit like you and me. He demonstrated his gift with the help of the Holy Spirit. Pharaoh said, can he find someone like this with the Spirit of God? (Genesis 41:38).

PAUL          Ephesians 3: 8-13 Devotional: -“To the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places,” (v.10)      God the author of wisdom gave the privilege to His servant Paul the Apostle to also operate in Divine wisdom in his time. All the apostles of Jesus operated in divine wisdom which is evidential in their writings. It was said of Stephen that people could not comprehend the wisdom by which he speaks (Act 6:10).

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
