FLOATING AXE Devotional:- 2 Kings 6:1-7 “So the man of God said, "Where did it fall?" And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float’’ (V.6) NKJV  Sometimes when we read about some great wonders of God in the Bible, something makes us feel it was because the people were very special. But we need to know that they are men of like passion (James 5:17-18). They were just exactly like we are, but they were only men of faith. This makes God to work wonders through them. The sons of the prophet needed a big place of dwelling. So they decide to cut trees to make a new home. Thank God they requested that Elisha should go with them. As they were cutting the trees, the axe head fell into the deep river. And the man of God asked the Holy Spirit for what to do. We need to know that God has not created anyone to suffer, struggle, or carry life challenges alone. God did not fashion life for struggle. Men only struggle because of ignorant of the order of life.

In your hand is power and might; In your hand, it is to make great and to give strength to all” (V. 12) NKJV      A great virtue of God is power and might. He is the one referred to as the most powerful, the ultimate of power. No one can stand His power. He is also the almighty. All might belong to Him. Power talks about generating energy and might talk about the demonstration of energy. God is the climax of the two.

OWNERSHIP OF GOD Exodus 19:1-10 Devotional:- “Now therefore if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to me above all people for all the earth is mine” (V. 5) NKJV      It is amazing the way some people lay claim to things of this world as if they will never leave them. God created all things before He made man. He created the land, the sea, and all that is in them. It is true that men thus buy landed property and all the documents bear their name. This does not remove the fact that it is still belonging to God. For all men will leave and God will remain the owner at last (Psalm 24:1). So He has only given us for a while.

No matter how much a man may try to escape, he cannot run for the judgment of God (Proverbs 11:21). That is why it will be wise for you and I to keep our eye on God and keep walking in His will.

GOD OF REUNION Genesis 33:1-11 Devotional:- “But Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him and fell on his neck and kissed him, and they wept (V. 4) AMPL      Relationship as it were determines so many things in our live. When there is a broken relationship many things also break. Jacob and his brother parted with great anger. He cunningly claimed his father’s blessing that the father had wanted to give to his brother Esau. The brother became so much embittered that he determined to kill Jacob. When the parents became aware, they agreed to send Jacob away to Laban a relation that is far away, thinking out of sight could be out of mind. When Jacob was leaving the house of Laban though he was blessed yet he had the fear of meeting his brother again. He prayed to God to touch the heart of his brother and God did.

JEALOUS GOD Exodus 34:9-17 Devotional:- “For you shall worship no other god, for the Lord whose name is Jealous is a jealous God” (V. 14) NKJV      Jealousy is one of the strong natures of God and you need to recognize your God as a jealous God. Ignorance of this has thrown many into the pit of regret. We should all learn to be careful not to provoke our God into jealousy. God's jealousy is a product of His great love toward His people. That Is why it is also natural for men to be jealous. How do you feel when someone is beating your children or spouse? That is why a parent cannot be allowed to come and be in class with their children.

And the Lord blessed Obed-Edom and all his household” (V. 11) NKJV      One of the great virtues highly needed in many families in Africa is God's blessing. Everyone knows that there is something called God’s blessings. This is not just I buy and sell and make money. This is grace for multiplication and increase. This is not just because of human ability but the grace of His covenant (Genesis 26:12: 30:27). This is the blessing of God for the righteous (Psalm 5:12). This is a blessing without trouble, it is peaceful and fulfilling (Proverbs 10:22).

And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.
