FLOATING AXE Devotional:- 2 Kings 6:1-7 “So the man of God said, "Where did it fall?" And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float’’ (V.6) NKJV  Sometimes when we read about some great wonders of God in the Bible, something makes us feel it was because the people were very special. But we need to know that they are men of like passion (James 5:17-18). They were just exactly like we are, but they were only men of faith. This makes God to work wonders through them. The sons of the prophet needed a big place of dwelling. So they decide to cut trees to make a new home. Thank God they requested that Elisha should go with them. As they were cutting the trees, the axe head fell into the deep river. And the man of God asked the Holy Spirit for what to do. OUR SHIELD Psalm 84:1-12 Devotional:- “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly” (V. 11).      A shield is an instrument of protection from the flying arrows. A shield is an instrument used at war by the army to protect themselves from the attack of the enemy. So, shield is a very vital and viable instrument. But as good as it is it cannot function by itself. That is why some soldiers can be destroyed despite the shield in their hands. Men of war must be strong for them to overcome despite the weapons in their hands.

A REWARDER   Hebrews 11:4-7. Devotional:- "For he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder, of those who diligently seek Him” (V.6)      Everyone involved in any kind of labor expects a reward. What motivates people into service or pursuit of life is the reward attached to it. It is embarrassing to see that most people labor for no reward, or rather their rewards don't often measure up to their service or input. He is the God who has been, who is, and is to come. He is the God that has been in the dateless past. And when nothing else will be He will continue to be. BITTER TURNED SWEET Exodus 15:22-27 Devotional:- “So he cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet. There He made a statute and an ordinance for them, and there He tested them,” (V. 25) NKJV      Your God can turn what is bitter to be sweet. When you see or experience anything bitter, you will understand that it has an element of bitterness and that is the reason for your experience. Then, human wisdom will tell you that unless you eliminate the bitter element it cannot be sweet. But God can turn that which has been bitter to be sweet. You don't need to divorce your spouse or quit business. That bitter water can be turned sweet.

GOD OF VICTORY 1 Samuel 17:39-50 Devotional:- “This day the LORD will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.” (V.46) NKJV      Victory in life is not necessarily to the strong and is not often determined by the human power. All through the scripture God is proved to be a victorious God. It has never happened in history that God is involved in a battle and His people were defeated. He will always win every battle. This is because all power that be is of God.

(V. 8) KJV      Thanks be to God who always proves Himself as God in our lives. If not for Him, what shall we say today? Sometimes people become envious of another’s progress and they allow their envy to turn to wickedness. Some people always have evil desires against others. When they see someone blessed, they desire rather that such be cursed. But they do not know that God‘s blessing cannot be cursed (Romans 11:29).

LOCATING A KING   I Samuel 16:1-13 Devotional:- “Now the LORD said to Samuel, "How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill your horn with oil, and go; I am sending you to Jesse the Bethlehemite. For I have provided Myself a king among his sons." (V. 1) NKJV      God is always in the business of locating rulers and kings. Since He is omnipresent and omniscient God sees all things and knows all things. He often prepares who will be the next ruler in every nation (Daniel 4:25). Not only does He locate and prepare, but He also appoints and enthrones. Nothing can be established without Him. He brings wicked rulers sometimes to discipline the people and righteous rulers sometimes to comfort the people.

It is something out of the reach of a normal person. The truth is that, we can only know what we are informed about. A man can't know the dream of his wife unless he is informed. WATER FROM THE ROCK Exodus 17:1-7 Devotional:- “Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink." And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel”” ( V. 6) NKJV      It is always a mystery to see water coming out of the rock. This is because we know that rock is a solid material and water is a liquid material. When you look at it Scientifically you will observe that a rock could be sitting on water. And it could be possible for water to one day find its way out. But it's a different thing altogether when the water starts to come out of a rock for the very first time, after an instruction to strike. It means the instructor is in control.

THE BURNING BUSH Exodus 3:1-10 Devotional:- “And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed” (V. 2) NKJV      God is a God of wonders. One day He gave a revelation to Moses that can be of great blessing to us today. Moses was a man created to lead his people out of bondage like you. And when the time came for God to call him to his assignment, He created a great way to call for his attention to speak to Him. God revealed to Moses a bush that was burning with great fire but was not consumed. This was a revelation of great symbol.

When some people think they can cheat you and do away with it, they have no good knowledge of God. He will always avenge for His children. Nobody can escape with what belongs to you as a child of God. And that is why you should not try to cheat anyone too, neither should you rejoice of anyone's falling.

And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success.
