FLOATING AXE

Image
FLOATING AXE Devotional:- 2 Kings 6:1-7 “So the man of God said, "Where did it fall?" And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float’’ (V.6) NKJV  Sometimes when we read about some great wonders of God in the Bible, something makes us feel it was because the people were very special. But we need to know that they are men of like passion (James 5:17-18). They were just exactly like we are, but they were only men of faith. This makes God to work wonders through them. The sons of the prophet needed a big place of dwelling. So they decide to cut trees to make a new home. Thank God they requested that Elisha should go with them. As they were cutting the trees, the axe head fell into the deep river. And the man of God asked the Holy Spirit for what to do. The Holy Spirit was what they also depended upon, and there was a miracle. Friend, you also have the Holy Spirit. That stick is the word of God. Speak to the sinking situatio...

INFLUENCE OF THE SPIRIT

Image
INFLUENCE OF THE SPIRIT Scripture Reading Acts 2:12-21 Devotional:- “But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, "Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words” (V. 14) NKJV      To be inspired is to be influenced by a spirit for an action. Under the influence of inspiration, you will surely step out to act. No matter how weak anyone could be mentally or physically, the influence of the Holy Spirit will push him/her out to action. This can be by the Holy Spirit or by spirit of the world.

DIVINE UNION

Image
DIVINE UNION Psalms 133:1-3 Devotional Verse -  “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!” (V. 1)      The blessing of fellowship with God is divine union. Whenever we are in fellowship with God, we are in divine union with Him. That is why working or serving the Lord is not by human ability. Divine assignment is always enjoying strong divine backing. This makes people working with God or in God’s purpose to excel among men. This is because they are working with the energy of God.

STAY CONNECTED

Image
STAY CONNECTED Psalms 27:1-6 Devotional  Verse -  “One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple” ( V. 4)      Every time you find the privilege to be in fellowship with God, you will be able to get the best of His presence when you stay connected. To stay connected means you don't give in to distractions. When you are personally fellowshipping stay there connected. When you are in church with other believers stay connected. It could be prayer time or worship or message or even offering time. In any of this time, refuse to be offline.

THANKING HIM

Image
THANKING HIM Ephesians   5:15-21 Devotional  Verse -  “giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” ( V. 20)      A major way to fellowship with God continually is to keep thanking Him. This is because He deserves it. Looking into the goodness of the Lord, you cannot really exhaust the reason for thanking Him. It is in the time of thanksgiving that you have quality fellowship with God. The Holy Spirit always helps us in giving thanks to the father.

CORPORATE FELLOWSHIP

Image
CORPORATE FELLOWSHIP Hebrews  10:19-25 Devotional  Verse -  “not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching” ( V. 25)      We experience corporate fellowship whenever we join with other believes to fellowship together. This has tremendous power in bringing about the manifestation of God (Matthew 18:18-20). Fellowshipping alone with God is great for your growth in Christ Jesus but fellowshipping together will make more grater power available for the deliverance of a believer.

PRAYING IN TONGUES

Image
PRAYING IN TONGUES    Jude 1:20-25 Devotional Verse -  “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit” (V. 20)      A time of fellowship with God demand that we communicate with our spirit. This is beyond the realm of the mind. This is through meditation in our mind as we pray. This is by focusing and opening our eye of the spirit to behold the throne of God. Whenever this happens, we become connected with God and we speak in tongue of the spirit.

LISTEN TO HIM

Image
LISTEN TO HIM Psalms 85:8-13 Devotional Verse - “I will hear what God the Lord will speak, For He will speak peace To His people and to His saints; But let them not turn back to folly” (V. 8)      So many people always talk to God in the time of prayers but many have not learnt how to hear Him. Communication is not complete till there is a response. Prayer is like a monologue to many but it ought to be a dialogue. A prayer life without response from the Lord will be totally frustrating. This has actually been the experience of many.

ASK SCRIPTURALLY

Image
ASK SCRIPTURALLY 1 John 5:14-1 Devotional Verse -  “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us” (V. 1 4)      Everyone who loves to always have the experience of answer to prayers must understand the principle that guides it. We know that the principles of men are different from the principles of God. (Isaiah 55:8-9). That is when our prayers will not be religious or an experience of trial by error.

REVEAL YOUR WEAKNESS

Image
REVEAL YOUR WEAKNESS 1 John 1:5-10 Devotional Verse -  “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (V. 9)      People can only have the best of fellowship when they don’t hide under one finger. True fellowship demands openness in sincerity. This is important so that God’s mercy can allow us to access His presence. Man by every standard can never be qualified to stand in the presence of God. All that the Lord desire of us is that we humble ourselves and open up to Him.

WORSHIP HIM

Image
WORSHIP HIM John 4:19-26 Devotional Verse - “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him” (V. 23)      The act of fellowship with God becomes a genuine affair when you can truly worship God. To worship is to prostrate in your spirit man in the presence of God and worship Him. This is not a physical idea but spiritual. To worship is to totally connect with God in true act of submission and surrender. This is done when you no longer counting on your worth but giving all the worth and value to God. Worship is actually worth-ship.

FOCUS ON HIM

Image
FOCUS ON HIM Hebrews 12:1-5 Devotional Verse - “looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” (V. 2)        No one can get the best of fellowship until there is a focus. Our nature of creation cannot really connect together until there is a focus. To focus is to set your mind and heart on God. There is this saying that we only communicate when we are focused on each other. So, when we are in fellowship with God, we must focus on Him. The devil will tempt you by creating several distractions. Anytime you want to focus, something will start to cross your mind to change the course. You must overcome it.

CONSISTENTLY COMMITTED

Image
CONSISTENTLY COMMITTED 1 Thessalonians 5:12-22 Devotional Verse -  “Pray without ceasing” (V. 17)      Fellowship with God is the act of relating with God. Any serious relationship will demand consistency and commitment to grow. It is only a growing relationship that can profit the parties involved. It is only a growing relationship that brings us into the best of relationship.

SECRET PLACE

Image
SECRET PLACE Matthew 6:6-15 Devotional Verse - “But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly” (V. 6)      The principle of secret place is part of the pattern of the prayer life of the children of Israel. They love to go to a solitary place to be alone with Jesus. This surely helps to concentrate and focus. This helps to put your mind together with God. The principle of out of sight is out of mind helps you to remove your mind from so many other things that could distract you.

CREATE A PATTERN

Image
CREATE A PATTERN Isaiah 26:1-9 Devotional Verse - “With my soul I have desired You in the night, Yes, by my spirit within me I will seek You early; For when Your judgments are in the earth, The inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness” (V. 9)      Pattern helps us to create a culture or a routine of what we like to do. The moment you create a pattern your spirit, soul and body will get adjusted to your pattern. This will always help you to flow in the place of fellowship. Pattern is the approach or method you love to employ. Pattern helps you to easily switch on in your spirit man and connect with God.

CREATE A TIME

Image
CREATE A TIME      Acts 3:1-10 Devotional Verse - “Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour” (V. 1)      Any appointment without time can always fail. This is very vital when it comes to personal time with God. Remember the enemy doesn’t want you to have it. So, he will do everything to discourage you. He will use people; he will help you create excuses.  That is why you must be so determined and always fix a time to be with the Lord your God.

CREATE A THIRST

Image
CREATE A THIRST Psalms 63:1-8 Devotional Verse -  “O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water” (V. 1)      To be able to enjoy God in regular fellowship a man must generate a thirst for God. In the course of doing this, your friends are bound to nickname you ‘Pastor’ This is because it is not the way of the world. The world often creates fellowship at a club house or beer parlor. But you are creating one with your God. That is why many people will be used by the devil to try to stop you. The devil knows that you will gain dominion over him. That is why it must be a strong decision to become a Christian who regularly fellowship with God.

ANSWER TO PRAYERS

Image
ANSWER TO PRAYERS Job 22:21-30 Devotional Verse - “You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways” (V. 28)      A great virtue that you will notice in the life of people who create time to regularly fellowship with the Lord is the grace of Answered prayers. This can also be called an anointed mouth. This is not because of your perfection but because you give yourself to fellowshipping with the Lord (Matthew 18:18-20). This is because God in His faithfulness will have to appoint His angels around you to bring answers to your prayers (Psalms 103:20).

CARRYING HIS WORDS

Image
CARRYING HIS WORDS Jeremiah 1:1-10 Devotional Verse -“Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me: "Behold, I have put My words in your mouth” (V. 9)      One of the greatest beauties of fellowshipping regularly in the presence of God is the blessing of having his words in your mouth. When such people open their mouth, the right word naturally flows out. Without this, no one will find it easy to speak the word of God before the crowd or in the public. This is a deep mystery of God that you will be speaking as though a sound system is been played from your inside. You cannot also totally explain how you are making up the vocabulary. This is not a manifestation of the act of public speaking. This is God speaking through you.

AUTHORITY

Image
AUTHORITY  Luke 10:13-24 Devotional Verse - “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (V. 19)      It is the level of fellowship a man has with God that will determine the measure of authority he will be able to exercise in life. Authority is not something that anyone can just handle. It is in the place of fellowship that God will be able to test us before He can trust us with authority. This is because it is more than one person. It involves the participation of the forces to enforce the authority. That is why the Bible says we should not say we are sorry before the angels (Ecclesiastics 5:6).

BLESSING OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

Image
BLESSING OF RIGHTEOUSNESS Job 1:1-10 Devotional Verse - “Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land” (V. 10)      People who value and give themselves to fellowship with God are always enjoying the blessings of righteousness. This is because God’s presence gives us access into divine instruction in righteousness, and we also enjoy grace to obey Him (Psalm 23:3). As a result of our constant fellowship with God, we enjoy His presence with us. There, He hides us under the shadow of His feather (Psalm 91:1). This makes us to be untouchable to the enemy. God becomes a wall all around us and members of our family.
