HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT

HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT Mark 10:35-45 Devotional:- “Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant” (V. 43).   The world defines greatness in terms of power, possessions, prestige and position but God determined your greatness by how many people you serve. This is quite contrary to the world view. Jesus called Himself servant and to be like Him is to be a servant. That is why it is so important to have a servant’s heart. God often test our heart by asking us to serve even outside our shape or area of interest. Your priority area of service should be in your area of shape, but God could demand for your service wherever needed. Looking at how a servant act is important because one could serve in a church for years and not be a real servant. Real servants make themselves available to serve. If you only serve when it is convenient, then you are not a good servant (2 Timothy 2:4). Real servants pay attention to needs, always lo...

EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

1Samuel 30: 1-10
Devotional:-“Then David and the people who were with him lifted up their voices and wept, until they had no more power to weep” (v. 4) NKJV

Every man or woman who want to progress in life must take it upon themselves to grow emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence is our ability to manage our emotion not to break down or even react to people negatively because of a particular event or experience.

We saw today how David broke down in tears as a leader with all his people. When people are emotionally weak, you need to allow them to weep and exhaust themselves like David did. There was a time that Jesus also wept (John 11:35). It is not outrightly wrong to weep when you can’t help the situation, but there is a need to grow above such emotional weakness.

To grow emotionally, is to be sincere with your weakness and strength. Stop pretending that you are mister know it all. You must not over judge yourself in any issue. You are not Mr. or Mrs. mistakes. There is no one who cannot make mistakes. Always exercise self-control in any occasion. Learn to be self-motivated in any situation. Don’t wait for anyone to encourage you before you encourage yourself and others around you (1 Samuel 30:6). Make a decision to be free to relate without fear. That way you will discover that you are not the only weak one. Everyone is growing, don’t over celebrate any problem or progress. Pray for the grace to forgive instantly and you will be strong emotionally. Peace.

Prayer: Lord, make me a growing person.

"WHEN YOU REFUSE TO BREAKDOWN, YOU WILL ALWAYS BUILD-UP"
