BEING HELP

BEING HELP Romans 12:9-20 Devotional:- “Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality” (V. 13) NIV There is hardly anyone in the world who does not need help, except that they are not making any move to make something happen. So help is a need of people who are looking forward, people who have vision or people who are pursuing a life goal. If you consider yourself in need of help, then you are just one of the people on the path of success. This help could vary from the need for the right people’s assistance, counselling, or money and material. We need to understand with clarity that at any period in time, we will surely reap what we have sown (Galatians 6:7). And so we must keep sowing help into the life of others to reap help. The bible says, “Share with people who are in need“ Let us be careful not to be too need-conscious that you don’t remember to do good to others. There are people you are far better off. There are people around us who look at us as priv...

DARLING OF GOD

DARLING OF GOD

I John 4:11-21
Devotional:- “If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?” (V. 20) NKJV

God has some darlings He loves in the world, and they also love Him. They seek Him, and He seeks them. They long for Him, and He longs for them. You will know such people by the way they relate to others.

Today, most people think the measure for their love for God is by the number of chapters of the Bible they read daily, the number of hours and times they pray daily, the numerous assignments they do in the church or the number of posts they occupy in the church. All of these are good things to do for the Lord, but it is not a true measurement of our love for God. Most of these are what make us grow in Christ, but the fundamental measurement of our love for God is how much we love others (1 Corinthians 13:1-2). All other spiritual activities must be born of this to make us earn the best of it.

It will therefore be totally wrong of someone who hates his spouse to call himself a servant of God. A man who is wicked to all his staff cannot claim to love God. It will be out of order for a leader who is careless about the led to be called a man of God. The bible calls such a man a liar. For it is not possible to hate people and love God, for God is love. If only you can begin to love people as creatures of God, you truly love God. They may be your neighbours or colleague or customers, God commands us to love them, then your services shall be rewarded. Your help has come.

Prayer: Lord, grant me grace to love the unlovable.

“YOU CANNOT HATE MEN AND LOVE GOD”
