HE NEVER REJECTS YOU

HE NEVER REJECTS YOU John 6:24-40  Devotional:- “All whom My Father gives (entrusts) to Me will come to Me; and the one who comes to Me I will most certainly not cast out [I will never, no never, reject one of them who comes to Me]” (V 37) AMPC Sometimes we imagine God in our mind with the understanding and the likeness of men. We view Him as someone we have to really beg to ever experience His favour or help. The truth is that there are several reasons responsible for this. One of them is that man, by his nature, could reject a fellow man. So when we think of coming to God or returning to Him, we feel in our mind that we are too bad to be accepted. We need to understand that our feelings about God cannot be the best way to describe Him, like His word. Even though we feel like that, yet, the word of God, which is the truth, says, whoever comes to Him, He will never reject. He is never interested in the death of a sinner but that he repents and be saved (Ezekiel 18:23). This is part...

POWER OF LOVE

 POWER OF LOVE

I Samuel 18:1-5.

Devotional:- "Now when he had finished speaking to Saul, the soul of Jonathan was knit to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.” (V.1) NKJV

Where true love exists, men can always have the best of times. Love is the most needed factor in this frustrating world. It is only as we build our environment of love that our lives will gain meaning. There is a strong need for us to learn what love can do.

In the scripture we read today, David, a young man but strong by the strength of the Lord, was able to kill Goliath the Philistine (I Samuel (17:44-51). As soon as this happened, the bible says the heart of Jonathan and David was knit together. That is, they greatly love one another. Even though they were not from the same tribe, love is able to bring two people of different backgrounds and tribes together. And because of the love Jonathan had for David, he had to protect David from the trap of his father several times. A true love protects.

Even though Jonathan was supposed to be the next king after his father, he was ready to throw away selfishness and be of help to his friend. He was even willing to allow David to reign as king in his stead. Where true love exists, it is capable of destroying selfishness and the struggle for survival of the fittest. True love creates a peaceful environment. The solution to a troublesome relationship is love. True love brings healing and health. Do you have anyone weak around you? Love brings healing? True love makes a joyful living together. Do you have someone never happy, then love is the solution? Love can break a stony heart. It can reveal the intent and the secret of a man (Judges 16:15-19). Love can humble the stubborn. Do you have a stubborn child or relation, the solution is love. With love, you can teach the dullest, you can make the lazy work and help the hopeless regain hope. If only you can begin to love them, you will see the best of everything around you.

Prayer: Lord, grant me the heart for love.

“WHERE THERE IS LOVE THERE IS HOPE”
