HE SPEAKS
Exodus 19:10-21
Devotional:- “And the Lord said to Moses, “Go down and warn the
people lest they break through to gaze at the Lord, and many of them perish” (V. 21) NKJV
As a living God, He did have an attitude of
speaking. And that is why you can read over three thousand times in the Bible
saying “the Lord said.” Other gods cannot speak, it is men who speak for them.
Do not let anyone deceive you if you see any idol talking, people are behind
it.
The reason why God does not always want anyone to
see Him is that He does not want to be made into any image or portrait of
worship. We know Him by His word. He wanted to reveal Himself to the children
of Israel and He told Moses to prepare the people to hear God. And He came down
on Mount Sinai and there was such a great earthquake. Then God spoke to Moses
in the hearing of the Israelites.
You need to know that your God speaks. He may not
cause an earthquake or thunder before you hear Him today. If only you can
listen with the ears of the spirit God will always speak to you. To hear God
always you will need to develop a deep relationship with God in worship and
prayers. It will get clearer as you go deeper. And His word will change your
world.
Prayer: Lord, release grace for my closeness to
you.
