COMPARISM 2 Corinthians 10:7-18 Devotional:- “Oh, don't worry; we wouldn't dare say that we are as wonderful as these other men who tell you how important they are! But they are only comparing themselves with each other, using themselves as the standard of measurement. How ignorant!” (v.12) NLT. Man, by his complexity, sometimes creates complications for himself in life. One of the things we often do incorrectly is to measure our lives by comparing them to other people’s lives. We often forget that we are sent for a different purpose, so our goals and objectives cannot be the same. There is nothing wrong with trying to gauge your level of performance against others in the same field. But it will be completely wrong for you to determine whether you are a failure or a success by the life of another man. Paul, the apostle of Christ, knows that his own purpose and program are from the Lord and are different from what others have been given. For example, if some apostles were marr...

IMPARTIAL

IMPARTIAL

Acts 10:34-48
Devotional:- “Then Peter open his mouth and said: "In truth, I perceive that God shows no partiality" (V. 34) NKJV

Due to the selfish nature of human, partiality is almost very natural for many. People will always want to satisfy themselves first. Partiality is injustice. It is handlining a matter in a way that is unfair to others. Because of the human selfish nature, we always want to show favoritism to our people before others.

There is a need for you to know that God is not a partial God. He does not look at people's faces to favor them nor does he take bribes to promote a man. He is the discerner of the intent of the heart of man (Hebrews 4:12). He judges by the heart and not the face (1 Samuel 16:7). If you are not enjoying something from God and others are already enjoying it, that does not mean is a partial God.

In the experience of Peter today, the gentiles who do not deserve the Spirit of the blessing of God were given. So, there is nothing God is doing for anyone that He cannot do for you. All you need to do is what Apostle Peter said (Act 10:35). Be sure you are living in the fear and the reference of God. And be obedient to His instruction. Then He will deliver to you His blessings and His favor. Soon people shall call you blessed and your glory shall be revealed.

Prayer: Lord, help me to always fear your word.

“BEFORE GOD ALL MEN ARE EQUAL BUT EACH ONE QUALIFIES HIMSELF BY HIS DISPOSITION”
