OUR HUSBAND
Ephesians 5:25-32Devotional:- “Husbands love your wives Just as Christ also loved the church… “ (V.25)
I believe it is a great privilege for a woman to have a husband. This is someone who is referred to as the head of her. Someone who takes responsibility for taking care of her and the entire house, someone who oversees everyone in the home. Women, in most cases, often make their husbands a confidant. This allows them to shift some of their responsibilities to the man of the house. They, on their side, feel relaxed under the umbrella of “at least I am not the husband.
In time past, I used to feel cheated as a man when women enjoyed their liberty in the house, and the man carried the burden, until I discovered this truth in the scripture that Jesus is the husband of all Christians, both men and women. Then I don’t have to be the one to carry the entire problem. I put it over to the husband and the head of all of us.
He loves all of us together. He is up to the task. He is always willing to purge us and beautify us by His word (v.26-27). He cares for all of us. We can let Him carry the burden. We can trust Him to take good care of us. No one can die under His umbrella. Hunger cannot survive in the house He leads. Demons and darkness are not allowed. He is the source of our strength and wisdom. He is sensitive enough to take care of us. We are safe in His hand. Whatever we may face, it is for our good; when He is the head of the house, all sorrows will always turn to joy at the end. No matter what you may be facing now, just make Him the head of the house. He will fill the house with celebration and your heart with joy.
Prayer: Lord, be the head of my life and home from now on.
“WE CAN NEVER RUN DOWN WHEN WE MAKE HIM THE HEAD”
