SPIRIT OF WISDOM I Corinthians 2:6-10 Devotional:- “But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory” (V.7) NKJV      The mind of every man is created to operate wisdom even at the level of common sense. This is one of the reasons why many are poor. The reason why this is so is that most human beings do not know how to empower their mind for wisdom with the right and quality information. They rather believe that life is all about making do with everything that comes their way. Wrong information and association have made many minds dull (Proverbs 13:20).

HELPER John 14:23-26 Devotional:-v“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you” (v.26) NKJV      Human beings by nature and creation are so limited. When you call someone a professor, he/she cannot know everything, even in the field of specialization. How much more in the other spheres of life? Our limitation is that we live in a body though we are a spirit being. A spirit is not as that limited. Even though it can’t be in different places at the same time it can be invisible. It can read far beyond the physical to the intent of mind and matters. 

A SYMPATHIZER Hebrews 4:14-16 Devotional:- “For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin” (V. 15) NKJV      Sometimes, we feel Intimidated by our weaknesses, which often leads to inactivity. Weaknesses in people's life are a result of their limitations. That is why no one is perfect. Sometimes, when we try to explain our Situation to others, they cannot understand. They even look at us as lazy and non-willing people. Even in our time of challenges, the best people can offer you is further frustration.

LIVING WATER John 7:37-43 Devotional:- “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water” (V. 38) NKJV      As a member of the body of Christ, you are a debtor to fulfil a prophecy to this world. That is why the world is waiting for your manifestation (Romans 8:19). Inside you are what the world has been waiting for. It has become impossible for you to live in this world without manifesting the great glory in you.

THE NAME Philippians 2:5-11 Devotional:- “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name” ( V. 9) NKJV      One of the things you have in God as a person in Christ is the name of Jesus. Name is a symbol of power and greatness. Don’t assume that name is only for attention or identity. The names of people sometimes interpret the events that surround there lives. Names sometimes declare people's destinations in life. And the name could also be an identity of greatness. There are great names and there are mere names. There are names you will mention, and people will look at you twice. Imagine you entering anywhere and you introduce yourself as “Mr. God.”

GREAT FUTURE Romans 8:18-25 Devotional:- “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us” (V. 18) NKJV      The greatest aspect of your redemption is the work of your salvation. This saves you from doom and delivers to you a great destiny. God is a great God, and He cannot create failure. It has been a painful thing to Him to see the greater percentage of the people He has created in failure. This is one of the reasons for our new birth. And as a new creature, you are redeemed from defeat to victory (John 5:41), from lack to abundance (John 10:10), from sickness to health (Matthew 8:17), and from destruction to great destiny in God.

AUTHORITY Luke 10:18-24 Devotional:- “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (V. 19) NKJV      Since you are a new creature in Christ, you have a new authority in God. No one can command respect and results without authority. Many people sometimes mistake boldface and noise for authority, but you need to see a person of authority. They don’t even carry the look. This is because it is not about the look or size; it is in the awareness and consciousness of who you are. People of authority have great faith.

NEW LIFE John 6:53-58 Devotional:- “Then Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you” (V. 53) NKJV      Many believers today, though saved into the supernatural realm of God, are yet ordinary people. This is because they are ignorant of their new nature in Christ. This is also because we are not partaking of the flesh and the body of Christ with revelation.

SOUND MIND 2 Timothy 1:3-8 Devotional:- “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (v.7) NKJV      One of the great heritages we have in Christ Jesus is a sound mind. This is possible by the Holy Spirit in us. A sound mind is a mind that is wonderful and good. A mind that is capable of handling any class of situation. For this mind, nothing is too difficult to reason out rightly.

COURAGE  Acts 2:4-15 Devotional:- “But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, "Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words” (v.14) NKJV .      No man can face a big challenge except with the spirit of courage, which is referred to as the conqueror's backbone. You, as a believer, must know that the Spirit in you is the Spirit of courage. There is no mountain a courageous man cannot climb, no hurdle he cannot jump. And so taking risks is a normal thing in life for him.

PEACE John 14:27-30 Devotional:- “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (V. 27) NKJV      In the school of faith, the level of your peace determines the strength of your faith. That is why the Bible says that quietness and confidence shall be your strength (Isaiah 30:15). Part of our heritage in Christ is peace. This peace is given to us by the Spirit of the prince of peace in us. The prince of peace is Jesus Christ (Isaiah 9:6). When there is peace within you, there will be peace around you. The peace within commands the peace without.

BEING FORGIVEN 1 John 1:5-10 Devotional:- “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (v. 9) NKJV .      One of the strongest weapons of the enemy against human confidence is condemnation and fear. And these are products of the feelings of not being forgiven. Nothing weakens the human conscience like guilt (Proverbs 28:1). No matter how strong a man is, a guilty conscience will make him a vegetable in the face of his enemies. He will always submit to the enemy. He/she will always look down on himself/herself.

HOLY SPIRIT Ezekiel 37:1-14 Devotional:- “I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the LORD, have spoken it and performed it," says the LORD" (V. 19) NKJV      One major area where the believers are defeated is in the area of self-identification. See, ignorance of your identity makes you a defeated man before the battle. If you have not been looking at the mirror, do you know that you may carry a wrong impression of yourself? But when you look at yourself in the mirror, you will be aware of your size and shape. What you are simply doing now is looking at yourself in the mirror of the word of God (2 Corinthians 3:18).

TEMPLE 1 Corinthians 3:16-21 Devotional:- “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” (V. 16) NKJV      In biblical terms, a temple is known as a place of worship of God. It is a place for the presence of God. A sacred place separated and consecrated for spiritual worship and where God dwells. So, it is often referred to as the house of God. This is the most precious place for both man and God. No one plays or toils around this temple. The angels of God always surround His temple. The armies of heaven are always on guard. The glory of God will always cover His temple. There, people find healing, recovery and joy. This is the nature of the temple of God.

THE RIGHTEOUS Romans 3:21-26 Devotional:- “even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference” (V. 22) NKJV      It is only a person with the life of God in him/her that can be righteous. This is because righteousness is the nature of God and not of man (Romans 3:10). Moral standard does not make anyone qualify as righteous before the Lord. That is why the bible says the righteousness of man can be likened to a dirty rag before the Lord (Isaiah 64:6). Anyone that does not the Spirit of God cannot operate the nature of God. Such is counted unrighteous no matter how well-behaved or moral standard. Because we only judge what we see God sees all things. We look at the face; He looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7).

A BRANCH John 15:1-8 Devotional:- “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing” (V. 5) NKJV      As a member of the body of Christ, the Bible referred to you as a branch and Jesus Christ as the vine. The branch of every tree is the same as the tree. They enjoy the same flow of water from the root through the stem. The vine in the scripture refers to the stem. And Jesus said He is the stem. This is evidence of your genuine likeness with God through the Lord Jesus Christ. Every tree enjoys the same flow of all kinds of strength from the root and from the leaves.

SIGNS AND WONDERS Mark 16:15-20 Devotional:- “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues ” (V.17) NKJV      So many believers have become so lukewarm than reigning in the class that God has put them. But God is bringing us back in full force into our strength and our class in Jesus name. “I and the children that God have given me are for signs and wonders (Isaiah 8:18). Do you know that as children of the living God, you are for signs and wonders? If you are living a lesser life today, a change has got to come. If you are downcast and mocked among the unbelievers, a change has got to come. Many believers are just like eaglets who have started feeling belonging among the chickens. That is not your realm. God is sending His words to wash you of your burden, and you shall soon walk into greater light.

CO-CREATOR Hebrew 11:30-40 Devotional:- “God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us” (40) NKJV      One of the most beautiful uniqueness and attributes of God is His ability to create. That is why we refer to Him as our creator. He created the heavens and earth. He created all that we can ever see on Earth and beyond. He created the sea and the sky. He created the mountains and all the rivers. But do you know that He has left some things not to be made perfect without us?

TOPMAN Deuteronomy 28:10-14 Devotional:- “And the LORD will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them” (V. 13) NKJV      In the New Testament, every new creature in Christ is not programmed to be beneath. He is to be a top man. This promise, says it is never the desire of God for any of his people to ever be low but great. So many up till now are not able to walk in this promise of God. This is because of God’s covenant they were not able to fulfill.

MEMBER OF HIS BODY I Corinthians 12:24-28 Devotional:- “Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually” (V. 27) NKJV      The Bible refers to us as members of the body of Christ or as part of the body of Christ. This truth brings us to the light of understanding of your importance, as a part of the Church. But more than that is the understanding by the same scripture that you as an individual are a member of Christ's body. The ‘body’ here can therefore be seen in two dimensions. It interprets the church as a single group and a team. It also interprets that each member as being part of the body of Jesus Christ. He is the head and we are the body. We have become members of His body by His Spirit that dwells in us (1 Corinthians 3:16).

KINGS Revelation 5:8-14 Devotional:- “And have made us kings and priest to our God and we shall reign on the earth” (V. 10) NKJV      There are numerous people in every land but there are few kings. These are leaders of the people. These are people with authority and dominion over the environment. He that falls victim to their wrath is made to suffer greatly (Proverbs 19:12) The scripture we read today brought it to light that believers have been appointed as kings and priests and we shall reign upon the earth. I need to let you know that the scripture is referring to you. We have been made kings over the power and principalities that rule the earth. This is because the almighty God now dwells in you by His Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16; 1 John 4:4).

SPECIAL MADE Psalms 139:13-18 Devotional:- “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well” (V. 14) NKJV      At creation, God the master designer does not intend to create men of ordinary destiny. He rather wants to bring about such great variation to creation for unusual harmony and much beauty. That is why humanity is beautiful, both in looks and uniqueness.

GREATER THAN I John 4:3-6 Devotional:-" ...and have overcome...because He who is in you is greater than He who is in the world." (V. 4)      It should be very clear what the terms of your victory are. In the spirit realm, there are just two forces and not more than that. They are the forces of the devil and the forces of God. These are the only oppositions that exist in the spiritual realm, and there is no other party. The issue of who is stronger does not call for debate, as all know the great and strong one. And that is the living God. God created even the devil himself but fell by the curse of God on him (Isaiah 14:12–15). 

A VICTOR I John 5:1-5 Devotional:- “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world." (v. 4)      You need to bring yourself to the understanding of the fact that God creates all things and He is in control of all things. The Bible is the law of God, which already has all the plans and the agenda of God for all things from the beginning to the end written in it. Do you know that all that will ever happen has been concluded and written in the Bible? And what is written is written, for the scripture cannot be broken (John 10:35).

A GOD John 10:27-38 Devotional:- “If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came..." (v. 35)      It is part of the order of life that the son is referred to by the name of his father. This is because he carries the genes of the father in him. Do you know that the children of the king are given the same honour just as their father? This is because men know that the children are part of their father. In the old times, a king ruled as the head of states. He puts his children to be rulers over the constituents.

A PRIEST I Peter 2:4-8 Devotional:- “You also… have been built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices." (v.5)      In the Old Testament, the priests are the only people permitted by God to take up sacred affairs in the house of God. They are the ones approved by God to move closer to God and to touch the holy materials. It is an abomination for them to touch any unholy material. They are never to defile themselves with any unlawful thing. They stand on behalf of people before God and of God before people. They are permitted to have direct access to God.

A LIGHT Matthew 5:14-16 Devotional:- “You are the light of the world." (v.14 )      Today many children of God have become victims of ignorance, and as a result, they have no eagle feather that makes it possible for them to fly to high places in life. Just like a lower eagle, they have started and chosen to continue their life among the chickens. Such an eagle has lost its place of glory. A normal eagle lives on the mountaintop. One of the reasons why God has made you partaker of this devotional is to clean you up with the word of God (John 15:3) and to give you a new feather to fly by the word of faith.

HEAVEN CITIZEN Philippians 3:17-21 Devotional:- “For our citizenship is in heaven." (v.20)      Almost everyone on earth is aware that one day each man will leave for a final destination. God, the beginning and the end of all things, have decided the end of every man (Revelation 1:8). There are just two destinations or a final place for every man. It is either heaven or hell. Each man must end in one of them. Since God has created man as a creature of choice, He has well created two places and leaves each man to his choice. Heaven is a place of eternal pleasure with God, while hell is a place of eternal torment with the devil.

A FRIEND John 15:13-17 Devotional:- “...but have call you friends, for all things that I heard of my father have made known to you” (V. 15)      Many times, we are deceived by what we are passing through or the news we hear daily to think God does not love us. But these are tricks of the devil to put the minds of our glorious right in Christ Jesus. The major reason for people suffering in the body of Christ is the enemy using the weapon of ignorance. Even when the truth of the word of God is told to some people they don’t believe. This is because they have been programmed to believe the lies of the enemy (John 8:44).

A BELOVED Romans 9:23-26 Devotional:- I will call them my people, which were not my possible, and her beloved, which was not beloved” (V. 25) KJV      A part from the biblical use of the word beloved, which allows us to use it among believers, do you know that the greatest title any man or woman can earn in life is to be called beloved? This is someone you can probably refer to as your spouse. Your mother or your father cannot earn such a title. None of your sisters or brothers can fit in. None of your friends can as well fit in. This level of title is reserved for someone you are to him or her special. Someone you give unreserved love to. This is someone who has become very important and a treasure to you. As for this level of relationship, you are ready to invest anything. It is referred to as an intimate relationship.

A CHOSEN PEOPLE Deuteronomy 7:4-11 Devotional:- “…the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth…” (V.6)      The basic challenge we are facing that does not make us understand our new position in Christ is that of misunderstanding how we become a child of God. Because we do not understand what it takes, many don’t even value it. So they easily throw it off their mind. Many today are not holding on to their faith and are easily discouraged simply because they lack understanding of the richness of their choice. Some also put up some pride and some show up because they think they were qualified.

APPLE OF HIS EYE Zechariah 2:4-13 Devotional:- “...for he who touches you touches the apple or pupil of His eye” (V. 8) AMPL      One of the most honourable and highly protected parts of our body is our eye. It is highly protected because of its importance and delicacy. The eye is the light of the body (Matthew 6:22, Luke 11:34). A man without sight is blocked without light. He will need to learn to see with the inner eye. Because of the importance of the eye, everyone takes time to wash it with all care and caution. When things are coming against it, wise people will always avoid it. When something little enters the eye, we become restless until it is removed. The truth is that you cannot allow anyone to touch your eye. It is a reflex action for you to close it at such times.

NEW CREATION 2 Corinthians 5:14-21 Devotional:- “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (V. 17) NKJV      When a man gives his life to Christ, he becomes a brand-new creature. Man needs to understand that he is not flesh, but a spirit that has a soul and dwells in flesh (body). At creation, God breathed His spirit into the clay, and man became a living soul (Genesis 2:7). So, death is referred to as a penalty of sin in Genesis 2:17. It is also known as separation from God. So, the Spirit of God departed when man sinned. But since man cannot be a vacuum, the spirit of the devil will always take over, and that is why man doesn’t drop dead immediately he turns to sin.

HEIRS OF GOD Galatians 4:1-7 Devotional:- “Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ” (V. 7) NKJV      A slave is different from a son. A son bears the name of his father and has access to the father and all that he has. But it is not so with the slave. You hardly see the son of a great man suffering except he is not a legal son or disobedient to his father. The truth is that you are not to suffer as a Son of God. It is not your portion to be sick, fail, or be sorrowful. It is so in the life of many children of God because, though they are heirs of God, they refuse to grow to be sons. This is not gender-based but maturity-based.

CHILDREN OF GOD John 1:11-18 Devotional:- “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name ” (V. 2) NKJV      Those who are born to great people on earth are always considered privileged. Many of us would have loved to belong to a particular family or the other if we had been given the privilege to make that choice. Many challenges in the lives of some people today are there because they wake up to find themselves in a family with one deficiency or the other. This has brought many limitations to the lives of many people in the world today.

LORD OF HOST Psalms 24:1-10 Devotional:- “Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah” (V. 10) NKJV      You need to know that your saviour is the Lord of hosts. People who are from military backgrounds or families know that when your father is a general, you are like a star in the sky. So many other people will want to envy you. Such will have access to many amenities others may not be opportune to use. They will live in special quarters in the army base. And even at war, generals are more protected. If a general’s child is abused anywhere, the father will only command a few soldiers to go and discipline the individual(s) responsible.

KINGS OF KINGS Revelation 19:11-16 Devotional:- “And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.” (V. 16) NKJV      In every land and nation, the king rules and reigns over the people. We all know that kings are heads of our society. They are the ones who govern. They are the ones who exercise authority over the land. They are the ones who control the affairs of their domain. They exercise great authority and dominion. Their words are words of authority and power (Ecclesiastes 8:4).

ALPHA AND OMEGA   Revelation 1:4-8 Devotional:- “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End," says the Lord, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty” (v.8)  NKJV      When we look into our lives, sometimes with several events happening and several things happening to people, the whole world can seem mysterious and confusing. But we know that God is not the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33), so your life should not be lived in such a terrible condition. This should be our understanding of life.

GOOD SHEPHERD John 10:7-16 Devotional:- "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep ” (V. 11) NKJV      Very many people do not know that there are just two camps for all humanity. This is the camp of God and the devil: the camp of light and darkness, the camp of good and evil. No man is on the fence. And there are no middle ways. Those of us who are in the camp of God already must understand that Jesus is our shepherd. He is a good shepherd. If anyone is not with the good shepherd yet, he is with robbers and wicked shepherds (John 10:8).

EMMANUEL Matthew 1:21-25 Devotional:- “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us” (V. 23) NKJV      The greatest trouble of man is the ignorance of whom he is. From the day human understanding wakes up to their proper identity in Christ. Their life of the challenges we face today will amount to nothing if only we believe the word of God about ourselves. If we know who we are in Christ Jesus, many things that terrify us will not be able to move us nor even gain our attention.

DELIVERER Romans 11:25-36 Devotional:- “And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: "The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob” (V. 26) NKJV      So many people have been deceived into covenant—bondage with the devil. This is because most people get too worried about their needs. And so the devil often takes advantage of this to rope them into eternal bondage. Though they will have their needs temporarily met, yet will have unavoidable troubles and sorrows (Proverbs 10:22). And so, the situation of some people today has become unexplainable.

LIFTER OF HEAD Psalms 3:1-8 Devotional:- “But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head” (V. 3) NKJV      Looking at every good organization, you will observe that there is a department that treats staff performance and appraisal, this is the personnel department. In every company or organization, everyone tries to do well in the face of such departmental leaders and managers. This department is as important as the accounting department. You dare not misbehave with its officers when they are around.

THE LION Revelation 5:1-9 Devotional:- “But one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals” (V.5) NKJV      Confidence in life is achieved only when a man is restful in his mind. No man can attain a good state of rest until he has ascertained his factors of confidence. The reason why men fail is because they unreasonable trust in a factor that is not tested. I have seen people fall as a result of trying to sit on a chair without ascertaining its condition. Some fellows pick other people’s cars without ascertaining the state of their efficiency. That could be very dangerous.

PRINCE OF PEACE Isaiah 9:5-7 Devotional:- “For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace" (V.6) NKJV    Today, the scarcest commodity is peace. The world's organizations are paying a lot for peace but are not finding it easy to secure. Instead of attaining peace, the world is rather in pieces. In many homes and families today, the devil has stolen peace. So many relationships suffer loss under this condition. Some tribes and religions specialize in destroying the peace of society. This is simply because the spirit that controls them kills and destroys them.
