FLOATING AXE

Image
FLOATING AXE Devotional:- 2 Kings 6:1-7 “So the man of God said, "Where did it fall?" And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float’’ (V.6) NKJV  Sometimes when we read about some great wonders of God in the Bible, something makes us feel it was because the people were very special. But we need to know that they are men of like passion (James 5:17-18). They were just exactly like we are, but they were only men of faith. This makes God to work wonders through them. The sons of the prophet needed a big place of dwelling. So they decide to cut trees to make a new home. Thank God they requested that Elisha should go with them. As they were cutting the trees, the axe head fell into the deep river. And the man of God asked the Holy Spirit for what to do. The Holy Spirit was what they also depended upon, and there was a miracle. Friend, you also have the Holy Spirit. That stick is the word of God. Speak to the sinking situatio...

THE FALL OF JERICHO

Image
THE FALL OF JERICHO Joshua 6:6-20 Devotional:- “So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat. Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city” (V.20) NKJV      Often time the enemy doesn’t want God’s children to approach their blessing, and he will fence it round. Though it is just within their reach, the enemy will make it unavailable. So, they keep waiting endlessly. The blessing is there, but the fences must collapse to obtain it.

STEPPING INTO JORDAN

Image
STEPPING INTO JORDAN Joshua 3:5-17 Devotional:- “that the waters which came down from upstream stood still, and rose in a heap very far away at Adam, the city that is beside Zaretan. So the waters that went down into the Sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, failed, and were cut off; and the people crossed over opposite Jericho” (V. 16) NKJV      Many may not know that God is not going to do great things in their life until they are ready to cooperate with Him. For His wonders to happen in our lives, He has a part, and we also have a part. If a man is not ready to play his part, God is also not going to play His part. Playing your part is a sign of faith in God's ability. When you do, He will also play His glorious part.

BE COMMITTED IN ZION

Image
BE COMMITTED IN ZION Psalm 69:5-12 Devotional:- “Because zeal for Your house has eaten me up, And the reproaches of those who reproach You have fallen on me”. (V. 9) NKJV      God’s strength is always available in His house (Psalm 84:7) . He has ordained His house as a centre of strength. No matter the weakness people encounter, God has organised His house as a place to renew strength. The word of God says those who appear in Zion are always increasing in strength. This is not just a show up but a heart toward His house.

BE CAREFUL OF SUCCESS

Image
BE CAREFUL OF SUCCESS Devotional:- Deuteronomy 8:11-20 "Beware that you do not forget the LORD your God by not keeping His commandments, His judgments, and His statutes which I command you today” (V. 11) NKJV      Today, you may be facing some challenges, but your comfort will soon come. The challenge today is simply to prepare you for the coming glory (Nehemiah 8:18). So I know that your season of success is closer than you imagine. Know that we are about to see the greatest breakthrough in the body of Christ.

HANGING OUT WITH GOD

Image
HANGING OUT WITH GOD Devotional:- Luke 18:1-8 “Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart” (V. 1) NKJV  One of the most taught topics in Christendom in this part of the world is prayer. And to the glory of God, we have really embraced prayer as a weapon in God. Yet we need to relate more with God in times of personal prayers than in corporate prayers. It is very important that you personally grow your prayer life.

FAITH IN HIS NAME

Image
FAITH IN HIS NAME Acts 3:9-16 Devotional:- And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. (V. 16) NKJV      One of the strengths given to the believer in God is the name of Jesus. God did not leave us to walk through the challenges of our life without a key to always open to us the doors of healing, power and grace. And this is the name of Jesus. God’s word says God has given us a name that is above every other name. The name is given to us to unlock the power of God and to overcome the forces of the enemy.

FAITH IN HIS POWER

Image
FAITH IN HIS POWER Exodus 14:20-31 Devotional:- “And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and when the morning appeared, the sea returned to its full depth, while the Egyptians were fleeing into it. So the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea” (V. 27) NKJV      Even though the power of the devil is fake, he always tries to use the fake to convince and confuse the children of God who have the original. He does this by creating an attractive package for the fake power. This is the attraction of being quick and looking real. Yet at the end, it brings its victim into disgrace and failure.

FAITH IN HIS PROMISES

Image
FAITH IN HIS PROMISES Hebrew 10:19-25 Devotional:- “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised)” (V. 23) KJV      If faith has no substance, it will be a weak faith. The substance of faith is the potentiality of its evidence. It is the certainty of the conviction of that faith. It is the very thing that produces confidence in the faith. But all of these have their foundation in the word of His promises. It is the promises of God that produce the substance of your faith. It is in the Word of God that you can substantiate your faith.

FAITH IN HIM

Image
FAITH IN HIM 1 Corinthians 16:13-18 Devotional:- “Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong” (V. 13) NKJV       To be established in faith demands that you establish your faith in God. The Bible says those who come to Him must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). In the experience of our walk with God, there are occasions when our heart wants to doubt if God really exist.

A HEART OF BLESSING

Image
A HEART OF BLESSING Matthew 20:20-28 Devotional:- “just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many” (V. 28) NKJV      As believers, the greatest opportunity you can ever have is to be a blessing. When a life is not a blessing, it cannot be fulfilled. The truth is that you are not in this world for yourself. We came here for God and others. If not for others, you would not be needed. So you are only important when others can be affected by your life.

SERVING THE LORD

Image
SERVING THE LORD Mark 10:35-45 Devotional:- “And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all” (v.44) NKJV      Serving the Lord is a medium through which you reach out to other lives. The devil is drawing many away from God. It is the lifestyle of the world to be selfish. Everyone is thinking about themselves, and the language of people has become me, my and mine. This is prophetically said about the end time (2 Timothy 3:1-2). Surprisingly, this is also becoming a factor against the service of many to the Lord. But you should know that God is your hope and your future.

MAKE YOUR CONCLUSION

Image
MAKE YOUR CONCLUSION Joshua 24:8-16 Devotional:- “ And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD” (V. 15) NKJV      One of the goals of the enemy in the end time is to turn people away from God. If you read through the word of God, you will discover that there is much calamity to befall the sons of men. This is part of God's agenda to punish iniquity. Please know, therefore, that the affliction is just starting (Mark 13:8). But God had made provision for your own security. He said it is only with your eye you will see it (Psalm 91:7-8).

YOUR STRONGHOLD

Image
YOUR STRONGHOLD Zechariah 9:11-17 Devotional:- “Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even today do I declare that I will render double unto thee” (V. 12) KJV      One of the great comforts we have in God is that we have hope in Him. We know that God is on our side. Things will work out well for us. God’s word says all things will work together for our good (Romans 8:28). But when hope looks delayed, weariness often sets in the heart of men and weakens their faith.

FIXING THINGS

Image
FIXING THINGS Genesis 32:22-32 Devotional:- “And He said, "Let Me go, for the day breaks." But he said, "I will not let You go unless You bless me!"” (V. 26) NKJV      Prayer times are a good time for us to walk with God for our strength. In this part of the world, believers give so much time to prayers, but we need more understanding about what prayers are.

MINISTER OF HEALTH

Image
MINISTER OF HEALTH Proverbs 12:15-20 Devotional:- “Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.” (V. 18) NIV      All through the generations of man, one of the easiest things to do is wickedness. You will observe that pulling down is easier than building up. To destroy is far easier than to mend. This is actually the trick of the devil to make men live in wickedness. It is easier to curse than to bless. If you observe that you don’t find it easy to bless people, the reason is that the heart of man is desperately wicked (Jeremiah 17:9).

GROUNDED IN LOVE

Image
GROUNDED IN LOVE Ephesians 3:11-21 Devotional:- “That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,” (V. 17) KJV      When life goes through challenging times, one of the aftermaths of such an experience is that people become bitter. The enemy always wants to use our challenges to draw us out of love. This is because in times of challenges, we understand people better. Then we can discern those who love us indeed and those who do not. Yet we need to know that to be out of love is to be out of God, for God is love (1 John 4:8).

SHARING YOUR MIND

Image
SHARING YOUR MIND Genesis 15:1-14 “But Abram said, "Lord GOD, what will You give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?"” (V. 2) NKJV      Sometimes we need to learn to share our minds with God. This is part of prayers. You can do when you are alone with God. It is not a sin against God when you share your mind. This can actually lead to the next revelation or instruction to glory.

KNOWING HIS WISDOM

Image
KNOWING HIS WISDOM   James 3:12-18 Devotional:- “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.” (v. 17) NKJV      Everyone in the world today has come to know the viability of wisdom. Everyone now knows that it takes wisdom to succeed. Some years ago, people used to think it was just hard work. Later, it was realised that the people who are really making it are not necessarily struggling.

KNOWING HIS WAYS

Image
KNOWING HIS WAYS Isaiah 55:1-11 Devotional:- “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are my ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.” (V. 9) NKJV      One of the things we need to know about God is His ways. If we don’t know His ways, we may not be able to follow Him. When you see anyone demonstrating the power of God, it is because His ways have been made known to him/her. God’s word says He made his ways known to Moses and His acts to the children of Israel (Psalm 103:7).

KNOWING HIS WILL

Image
KNOWING HIS WILL   1 John 5:11-15 Devotional:- “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” (V.14) NIV No one can enjoy God to the full except he/she knows how to please God. Pleasing God qualifies you to earn His favour and goodness. God’s word says when a man’s way pleases the Lord, even his enemies will not border about him because God will make them not to think of him for evil (Proverbs 16:7).

KNOWING HIM

Image
KNOWING HIM Daniel 11:30-37 Devotional:- “With flattery he will corrupt those who have violated the covenant, but the people who know their God will firmly resist him.” (v.32) NIV      When anyone doesn’t have a good understanding of God, such will be very easy for the devil to deceive. That is why some easily backslide and follow the way of the devil. Knowledge, they say, is power. When you have good and deep knowledge of God, you will encounter the strength and the power of God to resist the devil. The major challenge faced by the church today is that many people follow God and do not know Him.

EAGLE BELIEVERS

Image
EAGLE BELIEVERS Isaiah 40:27-31 Devotional:- “But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their Strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” (V. 31) NKJV       So many things made the eagle peculiar. One of those features is that he rises up in the strong wind that chases other birds to hide. What brings troubles to others is what brings blessings to the eagles. When some people see failure, they see lifting. This should be your attitude in this challenging time (Job 22:29). In the scriptures we read today, God’s word likens believers to be an eagle. He said, they shall mount up wings like eagles.

SOWING

Image
SOWING I Kings 3:1-14 Devotional:- “Now the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there, for that was the great high place: Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings on that altar.” (v.4) NKJV    Giving in obedience to God remains a major means of demonstrating true love for God (John 14:15). The truth is that if we truly love Him, giving what He has given us for the work of His kingdom will not be difficult for us. All through the scripture, God always test people’s love by asking them to give.

UNITY

Image
UNITY Devotional:- Genesis 11:1-6 And the LORD said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them” (v.6) NKJV A trick of the devil, the church must come up to overcome today, is the spirit of division and self-centeredness. The body of Jesus has to come up with the understanding that the diversity of the gift and ability of the Holy Spirit is not for division but for unity, edification, and to build a strong body of Christ that will be stronger than all devices of the devil. Unity is a strength ordained for the church. That was what the people building the Tower of Babel were tapping into. God’s word calls it an anointing [Psalm 133:1-3]. Your family needs that anointing, your business needs it, and your local assembly needs it. The church must be very careful of disunity. The moment someone has a little light or some gift, he thinks he will need to go and stand alone. Bu...

JOY

Image
JOY Isaiah 12:1-6 Devvotional:- “Therefore with joy you will draw water From the wells of salvation” (V. 3) NKJV      You must know that one of the virtues for our strength in life is joy (Nehemiah 8:10). Please choose to live in joy for the rest of your life. This is because you are created for joyful living. If you don’t consciously make this choice, you have also made a wrong choice (Habakkuk 3:17-19).

FELLOWSHIP

Image
FELLOWSHIP   Hebrews 12:22-29 Devotional:- “But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly” (V.22) NIV     Fellowship with God and with the body of Christ is one of the most beautiful things man should enjoy. God has planted so many blessings and benefits into this relationship. One of the best ways to connect with these blessings is by fellowshipping with children of God. The reason is that fellowship is the richest source of strength (Psalm 84:7).

ESTABLISHED IN FAITH

Image
ESTABLISHED IN FAITH Colossians 2:1-10 Devotional:- “rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving” (V. 7) NKJV      If anyone is to overcome in the challenging season of life, he/she must be established in faith. The enemy knows that the life wire that keeps God flowing to you is faith. That is why God’s word says the just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17). It is faith that brings God’s promises to manifestation in your life. It is by faith that you draw the heavenly promises to be evident in your life on earth.

MEDITATION

Image
MEDITATION Psalm 1:1-6 Devotional:- “But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night..” (v.2) NKJV      God’s word describes someone blessed because he/she meditates on the word of God, day and night. How can this be? The word of God is the source of inspiration that strengthens us to perform (John 1:1-3). The Bible told us that God is a spirit; therefore, meditating on the word of God is drawing on the strength of the spirit (John 6:63).

GRATITUDE

Image
GRATITUDE Habakkuk 3:8-19 Devotional:-  “Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation..” (V. 18) NKJV      One of the great weapons to help you retain your strength in God is gratitude. This is because ingratitude reduces our strength. That is why it is often said that gratitude is the mother of altitude. Gratitude strengthens you with peace sufficient for progress. It makes God approve of you for your next level in life (Luke 17:17-19).

GOD’S PRESENCE

Image
GOD’S PRESENCE  Psalms 16:1-11 Devotional:- “I have set the LORD always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved” (V. 8) NKJV      One of the weapons of faith all God’s children must carry in their minds is the presence of God. God promised us that He will be with us in whatever situation we may be (Isaiah 43:1-5, Matthew 28:19). But this will have no effect if left in our bible and not established in our Soul. You need to let it be settled in your heart that God is with you, and this will produce great power in your heart.

REGULAR MEAL

Image
REGULAR MEAL Luke 4:1-8 Devotional:- “But Jesus answered him, saying, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.'"” (V. 4) NKJV      Physically, what a man regularly feeds on will always determine his fitness. So it is in all areas of our life. Most of us have not come to the awareness of the fact that what we feed our Soul with will always determine our strengths or weaknesses. That is why God’s word warned us to be careful of what we listen to (Mark 4:24).

IGNORANCE

Image
IGNORANCE Hosea 4:4-10 Devotional:- “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children” (v.6) NKJV      One of the strongest enemies of your strength in God is ignorance. There are several categories of ignorance. There is a level yet to be out. There is another level of no light. But whichever of the levels is affecting a man, it is so strong that it will destroy the Strength of that man. I want to say that either of the levels can be removed by seeking the Lord (Isaiah 40:31)

PLAYING WITH SIN

Image
PLAYING WITH SIN Judges 16:11-21 Devotional;- “And she said, "The Philistines are upon you, Samson!" So he awoke from his sleep, and said, "I will go out as before, at other times, and shake myself free!" But he did not know that the LORD had departed from him” (v.20) NKJV      God’s word says we cannot continue in sin and expect the grace of God to continue to abound (Rom. 6:1). Since divine strength feeds on grace, it is therefore impossible for a man to retain godly strength with sin. The word of God says whoever is sinning is of the devil, for the devil sinned from the beginning.

PRIDE

Image
PRIDE Proverbs 16:10-19 Devotional:- “Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.” (V 18) NIV      Strength is primarily a function of grace. A man is strong because God has granted him the ngrace. That is why you will observe that each man is strong in different areas of life. The area of our strength is simply the area of our grace, and the giver of grace is God. Therefore, it demands that we humble ourselves to retain our grace.

LOSING FOCUS

Image
LOSING FOCUS  Matthey 14:22-30 Devotional:- “But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!” (v.30) NKJV      God’s children have not fully come into the realm God has packaged for us. That is why I know that in your life, God will yet do great and awesome things. God will use your case to prove His power. Peter, having enjoyed the grace of God, had a strong faith and courage in God.

FEAR

Image
FEAR Numbers 13:26-33 Devotional:- “But the men who had gone up with him said, "We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we."” (v.31) NKJV      Fear is an act of admitting that your enemy is stronger than you. Any time you are afraid of your situation, you simply make God a liar, and His word of no effect. God’s word says, greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4). But fear makes you accept that he that is in the world is greater than He that is in you.

IMPATIENCE

Image
IMPATIENCE I Samuel 13:7-14 Devotional:- “And Samuel said to Saul, “You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of the LORD your God, which He commanded you. For now, the LORD would have established your kingdom over Israel forever” (v.13) NKJV      You must let nothing reduce or remove your strength in God. One of the things that removes human’s strength in God is impatience. It is in the nature of man to always want to dominate and control things around him and in his life because God has created us with the grace for dominion.

RUNNING WITHOUT DIRECTION

Image
RUNNING WITHOUT DIRECTION Proverbs 8:22-36 Devotional:- “Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting daily at my doorway (V. 34) NIV      We came to this world by the single decision of God. He made us for His purpose. We came here to serve Him. It will then be out of order for us to want to live here as we like. This is the reason for many believers' weaknesses. God gave us Jesus to return us to Himself, but when we give our lives to Christ, we still want to live for ourselves and as we like.

ABSENTING FROM ZION

Image
ABSENTING FROM ZION Psalm 87:1-7 Devotional:- “They go from strength to strength; Each one appears before God in Zion” (v.7) NKJV      It is important that you, as a believer, understand the importance of fellowshipping with the church. It is a place where people of the same Spirit come together and share strength. It is a place where the God of the church comes to bless His people (Ps. 133:3).

DOUBT

Image
DOUBT 2 Kings 7:1-3, 17-18 Devotional:- “So an officer on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said, "Look, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, could this thing be?" And he said, "In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it."" (V.2) NKJV      Men in their physical nature often want to exercise doubt in the invisible. We look at what is not visible as almost impossible. We forget that many virtues supporting our technology today are also not visible, but they are possible.

DISCOURAGEMENT

Image
DISCOURAGEMENT 1 Samuel 30:1-6      Devotional:- “Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.” (v.6) NKJV        As we pursue our desire on earth, we are bound to face some challenging situations, and this should not scare you. This is because whenever you want to take a positive step, you need to know that you are taking action. And every action commands a reaction. Your steps to progress are inadvertently weakening some forces. So your action must always expect a reaction.

SORROW

Image
SORROW Nehemiah 8:4-12 Devotional:- “Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” (v. 10) NKJV      It is the target of the enemy, using every avenue to make a strong man weak. One of the weapons of the enemy to make a man weak is sorrow. This is not just a psychological feeling, it’s an affliction released or unleashed upon the life of a man from the pit of hell. No matter how strong a man is, when he allows sorrow, he is coming down. God’s word says; sorrow rotten bones (Proverbs 17:22).

HOPE DEFERRED

Image
HOPE DEFERRED Proverbs 13:12-16 Devotional:- “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life” (v. 12) NKJV      When we want to set goals for ourselves, it would be wonderful if we set a time for our goals. But when it comes to an expectation in our life, when we set goals by faith, we should never waver. We term a hope delayed, when we have an expectation schedule for a time, and it does not seem to be coming at the time we have set for it.

DISTANCING FROM THE SCRIPTURES

Image
DISTANCING FROM THE SCRIPTURES Deuteronomy 8:1-11 Devotional:- “To teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD” (v.3) NIV      The word of God is the bank of our strength in God. The word of God is the strength of God (John 1:1-3; Hebrews 4:12). Through the word, God had done all He had done. God’s word says, without Him, nothing else was created (John 1:3). When a man, therefore, distances himself from the Word of God, such is distancing himself from his source, He will lack the strength of God.

WITHOUT HIM

Image
WITHOUT HIM  John 15:1-8 Devotional:- "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing” (V. 5) NKJV        God made man to be independent. He made us as being that is capable of carrying out our destiny on earth. We are made like God. Yet, we must know that true independence is to know what you want and choose to connect to where you can get it. No independence means not depending on a source. You are made to be influenced by a spirit, depending on your choice. It could now be of God or the devil (Job 32:8).

BE STRONG

Image
BE STRONG Ephesians 6:10-18 Devotional:- “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the Power of His might.” (v.10) NKJV      When you see a man with a strong body behaving like a chicken, something is really wrong. We all know that it is humiliating to hear that a seven-year-old girl defeats a man of thirty years in battle. This should be a function of ignorance, i.e., not knowing how to deal with such an embarrassing situation.

YOU HAVE TO FIGHT

Image
YOU HAVE TO FIGHT Deuteronomy 20:1-4 Devotional:- “When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the LORD your God is with you, who brought you up from the land of Egypt” (V. 4) NKJV      God’s children must come to realize that our victory has been purchased by by the blood of Jesus, but we have to fight to establish it in our lives. If you have to face the devil, it will be impossible to defeat him. he was in a greater glory before than you are now. He has been in a battle game before the creation of man (Revelation 12:7-8). He knows far more than we do.

YOUR OPPONENTS

Image
YOUR OPPONENTS     1 Peter 5:5-11 DEVOTIONAL:- “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” (v. 8). NKJV      When a man does not know his opponent, he will be totally ignorant of the way to victory. Most people always make the mistakes taking man as their enemy. As God’s children, we must come to understand that the forces against us are the forces of the devil, though they always use people.
