NEVER FORGOTTEN

NEVER FORGOTTEN Isaiah 49:13-23  Devotional:- “Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you” (V. 15) NKJV Delays in some situations of life could sometimes make one feel forgotten. This could make anyone feel neglected and hated. Have you ever been in a situation where everyone was served but you alone were forgotten? This could bring a big embarrassment. But God cannot make such a mistake. Before He began serving, you were the one in His mind. His mind is filled with the memory of your love.  The scripture we read today says, even if a mother forgets to nurse her child, which I think is impossible, God said He cannot forget you. If a woman, for example, is far away from a child which has not been weaned, two of them will not find it easy. The baby will soon be crying, and the mother’s breast will soon be heavy and painful. Friend, God can never forget you. That is why He said He ...

LOOK FORWARD

LOOK FORWARD

Philippians 3:12-16
Devotional:- “...but one thing I do forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead (v.13)

It is a clear thing to us all that there is no one walking and looking backwards who will not find an accidental occurrence. It is therefore very delicate to be driving and keep looking backwards. Such a vehicle will not find it easy to arrive where it is going. Yet, this is how many people live their lives.

They often get too affected by the things that have happened to them in the past. Little do they know that this is the trick of the enemy to distract them from being able to move forward in life.

Let us learn a great lesson from the life of Paul the apostle, as we read in the scripture today. He realised the fact that he had not attained God’s goal for his life despite all the miracles God did through him. He still learnt to forget the past and look forward to a greater glory ahead.

Our experiences are made up of three types of events. Bad ones, regretted ones and good ones. We will help ourselves to forget the bad experiences of the past, learn from the regretted ones and thank God for the good ones. Get to know that whatever is past is irreparable. Bothering yourself about them is simply wasting your time since you can’t amend them. Please let them go. There are better experiences of life waiting for you. Please let the past be passed so that you may not pass with it. Look forward, and you will be able to achieve God's plan for your life.

Prayer: Lord, help me to forget the bitter experience of the past.
