THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. God is starting a brand-new thing with you. He is giving you new experiences of success and breakthrough. You need to lea...

WHAT IS STRENGTH?

WHAT IS STRENGTH?

I Corinthians 2:1-6
Devotional:- “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,” (v. 4) NKJV

All God’s children must understand what strength is. This present world only recognizes that there is strength, but most people don’t understand what it is or where it is from. If anyone is not strong, neither will he/she be able to share with the strong (Isaiah 53:12). Strength is not in words, but it is in the demonstration of power.

We are confronted here with powers, so we also must be equipped with stronger powers if we must overcome (Ephesians 6:10-12).

Strength is an inbuilt ability. It is deposited inside and manifests outside. Strength is the energy of God deposited in a man by His Spirit (Acts 1:8). Someone can only gain strength when he/she has equipped themselves with it. It is not possible to be strong and not demonstrate it when it is needed. Strength will always seek expression for victory.

There are different types of strength. It could be spiritual, mental or physical. These three are interdependent. It is the strength of your spirit that determines that of your mind, and that of your mind determines that of your body. Physical strength is useful in physical races and battle, but spiritual and mental strength are the real strength of life. You can gain the strength of God by fellowshipping with Him through His word and prayers (Psalm 84:7). The word of God commands us to be strong in the Lord (Ephesians 6:10-12). Those who grow their muscles do it consciously. It takes a conscious step to grow your strength in God. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, open my understanding to the way of spiritual strength.

“GOD, WHO IS A SPIRIT, IS THE STRENGTH OF ALL THE LIVING”
