PURPOSE OF LOVE

PURPOSE OF LOVE Romans 5:6-11 Devotional:- “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us..” (V. 8). NKJV Sometimes we make such a mistake as loving only our lovers. We do not often think that by this we fulfill the Law of Moses and not the law of grace, loving only those who love us and probably hating those who hate us. But this is not true love. If you understand the purpose of love, you will know that love is not needed when everyone is perfect, but most needed because we are not. The scripture we read today demonstrates one of the greatest acts of God’s love to us. And this is a revelation of God’s love to you. Even though you commit sin and He hates sin, yet He loves you. It is for your sake that He sent Jesus, His only son, to die on the cross. See, people may hate you for one reason or another, but God loves you. He so much believed in you that He had to give up His son to die for your sake (1 John 4:9-10). ...

STRENGTH IN GOD

STRENGTH IN GOD

2 Corinthians 10:1-6
Devotional:- “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds” (V4) NKJV

Many Christians today have so much confusion about their strength in God. It has made the church think that a few limited people can demonstrate the strength of God. So, multitudes are weak in strength. Though they come to church, yet in times of challenges, you see them rushing to another Christian whom they know to be stronger in God. Neglecting the fact that a New Testament believer is a potential priest and king for Christ (Revelation 5:10; Mark 16:17).

David, though a young boy, yet had strength in the Lord. Goliath looked at his physical size and saw nothing, but the angel saw great strength. Inside David was the great I am. With just a stone, David brought Goliath down.

Please understand that what the Bible calls strength might look ordinary but mighty through God (2 Cor. 10:4). The name of Jesus, the blood of Jesus, and the word of God are mighty through God. Strength in God is a strength taken by faith into your heart, as the word of God says. Take in your mouth from now the name of Jesus; believe it as the word of God says it (Phil. 2:9), and every power will bow to you. Your victory has come. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, strengthen my heart by faith in your word.

“WHATEVER YOU RELEASE BY FAITH ACCORDING TO THE WORD WILL RELEASE GOD’S POWER”
