THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. VOW INSTINCT

VOW INSTINCT

Genesis 28:18-22
Devotional:- “if God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on” (v.20) KJV

There are so many practices we read in the Word of God with our mere eyes that should have done our lives a great good if they are embraced. One of them is vows. Vow here means making a promise to God or man if he helps you.

Vow makes our spirit man wake up to responsibility. It makes heaven rise and support us. It releases the grace of God for the perfection of our journey or pursuit. Even your personal strength will arise for exploits as you make a vow.

Several people in God’s word have employed vowing to employ God’s backing for their success. One of them is Jacob, whom we read about today. Jacob knew that his strength was not sufficient to accomplish the task or journey that lay before him. He then made a vow to God. This automatically releases God’s backing for his journey.

You only need to make sure that your vow is Godly – that is not for evil. Do not vow what you will not do (Ecclesiastes 5:5). Before you say it, God knows whether you will do it or not, so He will not support you if you will not. Make sure you vow to do something for God. Make sure it is an offering to the name of the Lord. Then you are sure of victory and success. You will surely sail through this year with laughter. Let your gain be for God’s glory. And you will see the kind of divine support you’ve never seen before. All strongholds in your life shall be destroyed, and you shall fly high. Those goals, those dreams shall be achieved without stress in Jesus' name.

Prayer: Lord, replace my weakness with your strength
