ASK Matthew 7:7-12  Devotional:- “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (V.11) NKJV For us to be able to enjoy the love of God as believers, we must begin to ask God for our needs. It is the principle of God that you will only have what you ask (Matthew 7:7). If you don’t speak out to ask, you may not be given. This was the problem of the senior brother of the prodigal son (Luke 15:29-32). Everything is for Him, but he had never asked for any. But the younger brother knew how to ask You must also learn how to ask. This is because you will only enjoy what you asked for. We therefore need to learn how to ask. The word ‘ask’ is not the same as beg or loan. The word asks suggests confidence and courage. It means to demand for what you are due for. It means to ask for your rights and your entitlements in God (Galatians 3:13-14). The bible is a book of covenant ...

RUNNING WITHOUT DIRECTION

RUNNING WITHOUT DIRECTION

Proverbs 8:22-36
Devotional:- “Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting daily at my doorway (V. 34) NIV

We came to this world by the single decision of God. He made us for His purpose. We came here to serve Him. It will then be out of order for us to want to live here as we like. This is the reason for many believers' weaknesses. God gave us Jesus to return us to Himself, but when we give our lives to Christ, we still want to live for ourselves and as we like.

It is like a man who spends his entire day running to locate what he wants without knowing where to get it. He will soon burn out of strength. This is because his strength is not concentrated on his destination. Children of God are those who have giving their lives to Christ and they no longer belong to themselves, you can’t be living as you like and please the Lord. This is the reason many are in the church for long and not born again. They still want to live the worldly life.

We will therefore be wise to allow the one who created us and sent us to direct us. He is the one who knows where we ought to be at every time to get to where we are going. Many believers always complain of not knowing how to hear His direction, but are we willing to be guided by Him? If yes, then, take time to learn His way and your cars of the spirit shall be open to hear Him. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, teach me to acknowledge you and to be led by you.

“TO LIVE WITHOUT DIRECTION IS TO LIVE FOR THE WRONG DESTINATION”
