THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. IMPATIENCE

IMPATIENCE

I Samuel 13:7-14
Devotional:- “And Samuel said to Saul, “You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of the LORD your God, which He commanded you. For now, the LORD would have established your kingdom over Israel forever” (v.13) NKJV

You must let nothing reduce or remove your strength in God. One of the things that removes human’s strength in God is impatience. It is in the nature of man to always want to dominate and control things around him and in his life because God has created us with the grace for dominion.

Yet, we are not to dominate or control God. Things of God must go through the process of time, even your life. That is why you must not allow impatience in your life.

The throne of King Saul would have been established forever, but impatience destroyed his destiny (1 Samuel 10:8). The enemy always wants us to be impatient. He knows that will keep us away from the will and program of God, and the moment anyone is off track with the will of God, they will lack strength. That is why there are always several means of getting rich quickly.

If Abraham was not patient, he would not have Isaac. If Joseph was not patient, he would not get his throne. Impatience is not only out to destroy your strength but also your destiny. Watch out!

Prayer: Lord, clothe me with patience in your will.

“IMPATIENCE ONLY TURNS PEOPLE TO PATIENCE. WATCH OUT!
