THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. God is starting a brand-new thing with you. He is giving you new experiences of success and breakthrough. You need to lea...

SEIZING OPPORTUNITY

SEIZING OPPORTUNITY

Ecclesiastes 9:9-12
Devotional:- “I returned and saw under the sun that- The race is not to the swift, Nor the battle to the strong, Nor bread to the wise, Nor riches to men of understanding, Nor favor to men of skill; But time and chance happen to them all” (V 11) NKJV

Sometimes when one looks at this life, it looks mysterious, so much that some people think they cannot drink a cup of water will be breaking bones. Some people you expect to be accomplished mountain climbers will not even be able to take ten steps before they are weak. Someone may teach another, and they both sit for the same examination.

The teacher may fail while the student may pass. Sometimes you will see a beautiful lady who has married an ugly man. Some of us have pictures or the look of rich men in our hearts, and we are surprised that the one we least expect will be living in a mansion, and driving great cars. Some may be praying hard and may not be getting results, while some may not be praying as much.

If you’ve been curious, seeking an answer to this question, this is offered in the scripture we read today. God’s word says, the race is not to the swift and why? Because they rely on their ability. The battle is not to the strong because they keep looking and relying on their strength (1 Samuel 2:9). Not knowing that strength on it’s own is not productive until God is involved, nor food to the wise (Proverbs 26:12): nor weather to the brilliant, nor favor to the learned because they will look down on little opportunity waiting for one day that will not come. That means all of these depend on your ability to recognize opportunities around you, no matter how Small and make the best use of them in good time.

Many of us have few opportunities around us today at home, office, School, Church and in the society. But we are looking down on them (Zechariah 4.10). Friend, start seizing opportunities that can make you great, though it looks small today. Stop waiting endlessly. You may eventually waste. Stop calling that job or business ridiculous. That is what it takes to have the miraculous. Stop feeling too big to do some work, it is pride. Humble yourself that you, may be lifted (I Peter 5:6). Don’t be too wise and be wiser than God. He has placed few opportunities around you now, just where you are. Open your eyes and see them. They will make you great. It’s your year.

Prayer: Lord, help me to be humble enough to see my opportunities.

“EVERY MAN’S WEALTH IS ALREADY ALLOCATED TO ITS LOCATION, BUT IT WILL TAKE A HUMBLE EYE TO SEE IT”
