THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. God is starting a brand-new thing with you. He is giving you new experiences of success and breakthrough. You need to lea...

HONOUR THE LORD

HONOUR THE LORD

Daniel 4:27-37
Devotional:- “Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment…” (v.37) KJV

The reason why so many people find it difficult to keep rising in life is that they do not know how to always honour the Lord. This is so because many have not realise that by strength shall no man prevail (1 Samuel 2:9). God’s word says, it’s not by power nor by might but by my spirit says the Lord (Zechariah 4:6). Most people often think within themselves that it is by their strength and power they’ve attained their goals.

I have discovered with time that the achievement of goals, increase and power to prosper is not in the hands of men but God; they only happen to people that God has given it (I Corinthians 3:16). If we learn this wisdom. Then we will always appreciate and honour the Lord in our hearts for all our achievements. God’s word says, “My glory will I not give another” (Isaiah 42:8). So, when you acclaim God’s glory to yourself, you are looking for trouble.

Nebuchadnezzar did it and learnt the greatest lesson of his life. Though he had built a kingdom yet he was not wise enough to know that it was God who was doing it through him. Friend, be wise. Yes, you work. Earn and gather, but all of these are the Grace of God (John 3:27). Humble yourself to always thank Him. Before you start your business, call your staff together and thank God for yesterday. Then, you will never be dishonoured, and you will keep flying high till your glory comes.

Prayer: Lord, let my heart always honour you for all things.

“WHEN YOU DON’T HONOUR THE LORD YOU WILL BE DISHONOURED, GOD’S WAY TO THE TOP IS BY GOING DOWN
