THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. AS YOU CAN SEE

AS YOU CAN SEE

Genesis 13:7-18
Devotional:- for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever” (v.15) NKJV

As much as the experience of life is a very good subject in the school of wisdom, so much it could be a factor of destruction for many people. To many, instead of their experience making them gain wisdom, it is rather making them lose their faith in God.

So many people today have come to the point of thinking there is nothing good about living. Many even prefer to be dead due to the frustrating experience of life with them. If care is not taken, if you keep seeing nothing good about life, it may make your spiritual eye blind. Watch out!

Abraham had been receiving so many promises from God several times, and at this time in his life, many of them had not found expression. God promised him that He would make him a great nation, and he was only roaming about and nothing to show for it. God woke him up one day and asked him to view the land. God said to him, as far as he can see, he will possess.

God still measure people by this principle today. What you can see in your mind is what you can receive in your hand. Stop limiting your God. See it in your spirit that you are blessed with all God’s goodness. Don’t let your faith depend on your experience, but upon God’s word that cannot fail. Always see in your mind that you are a car owner, a landlord, a successful businessman, a top man in all good standing, a mother and a father. Listen, God can only give you as far as you can see, so refuse to see failure in your mind. Open your inner eye and see your greatness. And as much as you can see, as much as you can possess. It’s your turn.

Prayer: Lord, help me to see your glorious plan for my life this year.
