THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. BUSINESS

BUSINESS

Luke 2:41-52
Devotional:- “And He said to them, "Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father's business?” (V. 49) NKJV

Our destinies on earth may never be attained if we do not approach them with a business perspective. If any man takes life easy and will not pursue it diligently and reasonably, he may be used up in life. Business comes from the word busy, and the opposite word is idleness. Idleness does not mean not working alone; it is also when there is no diligence and reasonable pursuit of your work.

It was said of Jesus that he was diligent in the pursuit of his ministry. At one time, His parent went to Jerusalem from Nazareth to pray, and Jesus went with them. On getting there, Jesus saw that His business pursuit was needed there, and as he was doing this, he was forgotten there by his parents. When they came back to meet Him, He gave them an answer from a business perspective.

To be business-oriented means to organise your work properly with diligence and reasonable way of doing it. Set up your work systematically and with all prudence. Calculating all money, materials, and time to be invested and also being result-oriented. Set up goals to be achieved daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly. Then put in all the effort to make it work. This will give you an enviable reward and a glorious place among the greats. So be determined to make it. Put in your best and God will let it bring out the best in you.

Prayer: Lord, make me begin to see life from a business perspective.

“TO BE IN BUSINESS DOES NOT MEAN TO JUST BE IN BUSINESS BUT TO BE BUSY WITH ALL YOUR MIND FOR RESULT”
