THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. PRIDE

PRIDE

Proverbs 16:10-19
Devotional:- “Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.” (V 18) NIV

Strength is primarily a function of grace. A man is strong because God has granted him the ngrace. That is why you will observe that each man is strong in different areas of life. The area of our strength is simply the area of our grace, and the giver of grace is God. Therefore, it demands that we humble ourselves to retain our grace.

God’s word says, God increases grace to the humble (James 4:6). This means pride is a destroyer of grace. God will withdraw from a proud man. When God withdraws from a man, he will depend on his own strength, which will soon finish. The strength of a man is like the strength of a battery without an alternator of a car. It will soon be used up

King Nebuchadnezzar was truly strong, and he did not realize that it was a function of grace. So he took to pride. And he finally became like an animal until he was humbled.

Friend, pride is a destroyer of strength. It removes people from their place of strength. Always ask for grace to be humble. Don’t let people push you up to puff up. Always take the place of the humble so as not to lose your strength. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, give me the grace to always be humble.

“A PROUD MAN IS UNKNOWINGLY DRAINING HIS OWN STRENGTH GRADUALLY”.
