THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. God is starting a brand-new thing with you. He is giving you new experiences of success and breakthrough. You need to lea...

YOUR OPPONENTS

YOUR OPPONENTS

1 Peter 5:5-11
DEVOTIONAL:- “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” (v. 8). NKJV

When a man does not know his opponent, he will be totally ignorant of the way to victory. Most people always make the mistakes taking man as their enemy. As God’s children, we must come to understand that the forces against us are the forces of the devil, though they always use people.

God’s word says we are not fighting against flesh and blood but against principalities (they take territorial government), against powers (master spirit), rulers of the darkness of this age and against the spiritual host of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). These are forces of God that fell with the devil, and their powers were not taken from them (Revelation 12:7-9). You must understand that they are the ones manifesting and manipulating in different ways in human lives (2 Corinthians 2:11). This is the reason you cannot afford to be prayerless or powerless as a child of God.

This understanding put you ahead of him. It makes you know who or where to fire so that you don’t misfire. He is a pretender, so he takes different forms. Don’t see whatever is happening to you as ordinary, you must be sensitive and understand the way to stop him. The Bible says we should not be ignorant of his devices. He knows you carry glory, and he doesn’t want your success. That is why you must grow your strength in God. If Christ overcomes, you will surely overcome. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to grow in your strength for my victory.

“YOUR VICTORY IS PAID FOR BUT YOUR STRENGTH ESTABLISHES YOU IN IT.”
