FLOATING AXE

FLOATING AXE Devotional:- 2 Kings 6:1-7 “So the man of God said, "Where did it fall?" And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float’’ (V.6) NKJV  Sometimes when we read about some great wonders of God in the Bible, something makes us feel it was because the people were very special. But we need to know that they are men of like passion (James 5:17-18). They were just exactly like we are, but they were only men of faith. This makes God to work wonders through them. The sons of the prophet needed a big place of dwelling. So they decide to cut trees to make a new home. Thank God they requested that Elisha should go with them. As they were cutting the trees, the axe head fell into the deep river. And the man of God asked the Holy Spirit for what to do. The Holy Spirit was what they also depended upon, and there was a miracle. Friend, you also have the Holy Spirit. That stick is the word of God. Speak to the sinking situatio...

LET HIM USE YOU

LET HIM USE YOU

Scripture Reading: 2 Timothy 2:18-26
Devotional:-“Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work” (V. 21) NKJV

Everyone you see on this planet earth is used either by the Spirit of God or the spirit of the devil. The spirit of man came from God but it can be ruled by either (Genesis 2:7). This is because God has made man a free moral agent God has given us the grace to make choices. That is why you need to be deliberate about the spirit you submit to every minute of your life.

A man may be used by the Spirit of the Lord now, and in the next moment being used by another spirit. We see an example in Peter (Matthew 16:15-23). That is why the word of God teaches us to test all spirits (1 John 4:1).

If God will use you and you will not be a vessel unto dishonor, then, the word of God tells us to be transformed to the new man in Christ (Romans 12:2; 2 Timothy 2:21). The word of God tells us to flee from lust, pursue righteousness, faith and peace. Avoid disputing and quarreling. Gentle to teach with patience and correcting others with humility. God’s word says if we do this things, we shall be useful vessels for God (2 Timothy 2:21). As a worker in the house of God, these are what make your services acceptable and rewarding (Romans 12:1). Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, make me to be useful for you alone.
