THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. BE AT PEACE

BE AT PEACE

Scripture Reading: 1 Thessalonians 5:12-22
Devotional:- “And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. Be at peace among yourselves.” (V. 13) NKJV

As vessels of God, we must learn to be at peace with people around us and the people that we serve together. In relationship, it is normal for us to offend each other. As close as the tongue and the teeth, yet, they fight once a while. It may not be easy for us not to offend each other as we serve together, but Jesus taught us to forgive each other.

To be at peace among ourselves demand that each one must be at peace with God. It demands that each is at peace with self. It is then; we can endure to be at peace with others. Remember, the closer we are, the more we see the fault of each other. If you serve at distance, you may enjoy distance holiness. That is why the Bible teaches us to be at peace with each other. Both with our leaders and with people we work with.

Don’t forget we are different in nature and God made us so.  Don’t expect everyone to be like you or view things like you. Create service principles in your unit and consider everyone. Remember, Jesus is the Lord of us all and He is our rewarder. Let us not over expect from each other. Consider the fact that we are not at the same level of maturity. Relationship demand living with understanding. The God of peace will give us peace.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to live peaceably with all.

“IT IS PEACE WITHIN THAT MAKES US PEACE WITH OTHERS”
