GROWING

GROWING Ephesians 4:9-16 Devotional:- “But, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head of Christ” (V. 15) God’s plan and desire is that we grow up. So many Christian today are growing older but not growing up. Many are stocked in perpetual spiritual infancy. This is because they never intend to grow. Spiritual growth is not automatic, it takes intentional commitment. You must want to grow, decide to grow, make an effort and persist in growing. Discipleship is the process of becoming like Christ (Matthew 10:25). In your spiritual growth, God has a part and you have a part. To be Christ-like you will need to make Christ like choices and depend on the Holy Spirit to help you fulfill those choices. The moment you are ready, you will need to let go of some old routines and develop some new habits. You will need to intentionally change the way you are thinking (Philippians 2:12-13). To work out your salvation with fear and trembling means to take you...

QUALITY WORK

QUALITY WORK

Scripture Reading: 1 Corinthians 3:8-17
Devotional:- “each one's work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one's work, of what sort it is” (V. 13) NKJV

It is important that we keep it in our heart that our labour is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58). There is nothing anyone does for God that will not be rewarded, if it is done faithfully. Knowing that God will surely reward us calls for effectiveness, persistency and faithfulness.

The word of God told us that the foundation of all we are called to do is Christ. Nothing should be added or subtracted from Jesus. So that our work can be rewarded. The Bible says “we should watch what we are building on the foundation. Someone may be building gold kind of work; others may be building at the silver level, others as precious stones while others as wood hay or straw.

Friend, let us build quality service in God. Let your work not be likened to hay or straw or grass when others are building with gold. All of this talks about the quality of our work before God. This quality is determined by our commitment and loyalty to God, our persistency and faithfulness. Stop looking at man to serve the Lord. From today start to give quality services to God wherever you are. Your reward will come in Jesus name. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, strengthen me to continue faithfully

“EACH MAN’S WORK WILL BE TESTED”
