GRUMBLING

GRUMBLING I Corinthians 10:1-13 Devotional:- “nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer” (v.10) NKJV The act of grumbling is a means through which the enemy carefully removes the joy of many. Grumbling is a silent reaction to an instruction or a responsibility you must undertake. It is not feeling free to express one's mind about what one is satisfied with. People grumble against God about their challenges. They also grumble against their masters or bosses in the office. When the children of Israel were going through the wilderness, they were faced with several needs on their way, and each time they tried to shift blame to God, who had mercy on them and organised to put them in Canaan. When they lack water, they grumble; when it is meat, they grumble, and God sent the angel of destruction to destroy them. It is important to note that instead of grumbling under your breath or in your workplace, you should find a way to express your mind so ...

CLEAN UP

CLEAN UP

Scripture Reading: Psalms 24:1-10
Devotional:- “He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully” (V. 4) NKJV

To become a vessel unto honour a man must clean and purify himself. This is because a vessel unto honour is a vessel been used by God. First as a vessel of His mercy and also as a vessel unto honour (Romans 9:22-24). That already inform you that you cannot be used by God except you passes through the process of been cleansed. This is because God is a Holy God.

The Bible says “he that will ascend to the hill of the Lord and stand in God’s Holy place must have a clean hand, a pure heart and a clean mouth”. This is because God dwells in our heart. With our mouth, we worship and decree. With our hand, we receive. But the activities of the mouth and the hand flows from the heart (Matthew 12:34-35).

For the heart to be cleansed, we must always meditate in the word of God to renew our mind (Romans 12:2). Jesus said “the word is the water for our cleansing (John 15:3; Ephesians 5:25-26). When our heart is cleansed, our mouth and our hands will be cleansed. That way, we will be able to have quality relationship with God. Then, we can be His vessel of honour to our generation. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, give me access to your word for my cleansing.

“UNCLEAN HEART CANNOT BE A VESSEL UNTO HONOUR”
