PROMISES Isaiah 55:1-13  Devotional:- “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it” (V.11) NKJV One thing that is common with lovers are promises. It is part of what a true lover will want to hear. To a true lover, a promise is like a cheque capable of turning into cash. So when people who love us promise us, we cherish the promises. And when we remember them, it gladdens our heart. We even sometime feel happy enough to share it with other friends. One other terrible thing that is common with people is failing to fulfill promises. That is why it will be unwise to marry someone based on mare promises. These failure in promises of people, in some cases, are due to the inadequacy of human strength, or unforeseen circumstances that can overtake the promises, so the promised often feel deceived. HE CALLS YOU

HE CALLS YOU

Scripture Reading: Matthew 11:25-30
Devotional:- “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls” (V. 29) NKJV

Everyone who has found the saving grace of Christ has also been called to serve the Lord. He has ordained all of us as His vessel of honour (1 Peter 2:9). Though, we are individually called to do different things in the body of Christ. Yet, all are to serve, to bring glory and honour to Him (1 Corinthians 10:31). That is why you must not exempt yourself.

Jesus called us all to serve Him. He said “we should take His yoke upon us. He said His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Yet, it is a yoke. It is a yoke with Him. To serve Him and partake of His honour. To take someone’s yoke with you means to connect with Him in His assignment.

This is an open calling that Christ has given to everyone who believes and you are not exempted. It is not until you have a title. The biggest title in the kingdom of God is to be a son of God (1 John 3:1). You are entitled to His honour because He has called you from the day you were saved (Hebrew 5:4). You have become a soul winner and an ambassador for Christ (Mark 16:18; 2 Corinthians 5:20). Don’t let anything stop you. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to yield to your calling for my life

“IN YOUR CALLING IS YOUR HONOUR”
