  RIGHTEOUSNESS 2 Corinthians 5:14-21  Devotional:- “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (V. 21) NKJV It is because of the love of God that we are called the people of God today (Romans 9:25). This has created an eternal problem for the devil. In the Old Testament, many people tried to please God, but they were not able, and this brought destruction upon them. The Bible mentioned that Jesus, when He died, went to hell to free the saints (1 Peter 3:19). These are men who had lived all their lives to obey the law, yet were not able to reach the mark of righteousness. Today, the righteousness they were not able to attain, we have effortlessly attained. This is not because we are better than they were, but because we are children born in due season. YOU ARE A VESSEL

Scripture Reading: 1 Corinthians 3:9-18
Devotional:- “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” (V. 16) NKJV


    It is important that all men come to know that we are created to be a vessel. A vessel is an instrument used in carrying out an assignment. A vessel is an instrument used by the owner to achieve a given goal. God wired us to be a vessel for Him (Isaiah 43:21). But the devil also want to use us (Romans 6:14-16). That is why it is important that you come to know that you are a vessel.

The word of God said “we are the temple of God”, which means, a vessel is a container. It is like an object driven by the spirit in it. The shell of a snail contains the snail. As much as the shell is a non-living thing, yet it moves around by the snail that is in it. A vessel is another material that carries an object.

The truth is that, everyone carries a spirit and it is that spirit that controls your activities (Job 32:8). That is why the word of God calls us the temple of God as children of God. That is, God is inside us. This happens because we are carrier of His Spirit. All human being are either vessel unto God or unto the devil. When you release yourself to be a vessel unto God, He makes you honorable. This is because the Spirit of God will bring the honour of God to your life. By using you to bless lives and change situations of others for good. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, make me a vessel to your glory

The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
